Goodbye for now

Sorry for the short chapter, I had to make them that way to get the story to flow right.

Our drive back home was a quiet one, I looked at Dahlia in the front seat and her head was lolled to the side. Rob was focused on driving. I looked at Jai and chuckled he was asleep and had a slight snore.

"You good?" I asked Rob

"Yup might as well join em," he tells me

"The thought had entered my mind," I said snuggling into the soft seat.

I let the music lull me to sleep, the breeze blowing fly aways from my hair. I tucked my knees into my chest and let sleep claim me.

"Charlie" I heard a voice whisper to me

I shrugged it off and dug deeper into the car seat, that's funny it felt like muscles under my head, something brushed a strand of behind my ear so lightly I thought it was the wind.

"Rob I'm cold can you roll up the windows" I pleaded before I patted the surface of the car seat and noticed instead of leather it was denim. I shrugged it may have been an extra pair of jeans. I drifted back to sleep

"I think she's out mate," Jai said

"Dahlia is too, can you bring her in?" I heard Rob open the door and heard him whisper to Dahlia and she gave a small groan as her response

I heard Rob talking to Jai, he was going to carry me inside, normally I would protest but I was so tired I was actually grateful.

Jai eased out of the truck softly and closed the door, I felt my hands being held and I was being sat up, I grumbled and sniffed, I heard a chuckle then I was being held in Jai's arms, I was awake now but kept my eyes closed. I opened my eye to see Jai walked up the steps to my apartment he was focused on getting me to where I needed to be.

"Her room is just there" Rob informed Jai

"Thanks, mate," he said his chest rumbling, I smiled,

"Charlie" he whispered as if he were afraid to scare me

"Charlotte, I know you're awake," he said normally

I fake snored and felt myself drop onto my bed I shrieked with laughter

"It's not every day you get carried to bed-" I snickered then my eyes grow wide, Jai quirked an eyebrow

"I mean- I wanted you to carry me to bed" I corrected only making things worse. Jai started laughing

"Shut up, go away" I hid my face in the pillow

"That's not what you said a bit ago," he said leaving my room following him to the living room.

"Jai man thanks for hanging today, I know you're leaving tomorrow," Rob said shaking his hand

"Yeah man it's been awesome, definitely have to do this when I'm back in town," he said chuckling

"Where are you going?" I ask trying to hide my disappointment

"I'm actually going to Louisiana, I'm making the new Terminator movie, plus I'll be flying back and forth to Chicago to film Insurgent," he said putting his hands in his pockets.
