Part 3

Robert's POV

As soon as Chas walked in behind us, she shut the door. "You didn't think to TELL me?!" She shouted. "Tell you what?" Aaron replied, confused about what his mum was saying. "You two! Back together again!" She yelled. "I'm sorry, if I sleep on someone's couch then I'm with them? We only admitted it all this morning if you must know!" Aaron snapped back. I was just stood there, really awkward.Aaron muttered something, I didn't know what. "What did you just say?" Chas asked, obviously annoyed at me because she kept glaring at me, so I just smiled as innocently as possible. Chas just started ranting at Aaron, and he started to cry. I gave him a tight hug, and I whispered in his ear "shhhh, its okay" so that only he could hear. Whilst I was still hugging him, I looked at Chas and said "He was gone for ONE night, for gods sake! You can't control him!". Chas looked at me in disgust and said "I know, but he was with YOU!". "Look, I know he hasn't exactly picked the best choice of a man, but he loves me and I love him, to bits!" I snapped back. I looked at Aaron, and kissed his forehead, and looked into his eyes, and I got lost in them.

Aaron's POV

My mum was staring at us, shocked that Robert had openly admitted that he loves me. I could see her in the corner of my eye but I was focusing on Robert's green eyes. They were so beautiful! We both knew that my mum had backed down. She'd finally realised that Robert wasn't going anywhere, and that he wasn't evil like she thought, he'd just made bad choices. I heard a noise and I looked to find my mum had nearly fell over in shock of what Robert said. Me and Rob both started to laugh. "You, you do love him don't you?" Chas asked.

Robert's POV

Of couse I love him! "I do, otherwise I wouldn't be here would I?" I replied, looking at Aaron. She just would never understand how much I love him. "Do you want to go for tea? There's a nice place not far from here" I asked Aaron. "Um, yeah, just let me get changed first" he replied. As Aaron ran up the stairs to change, Chas' mouth was still dropped in an 'o' shape. "Y-you might want to erm, close your mouth" I said awkwardly. Aaron came down, and stopped when he saw Chas. "I think she's frozen" I whispered. Aaron shook her slightly, and she responded straight away. "Y-you go and that meal, see you l-later" she stuttered, like she'd had a heart attack. Aaron gave her a weird look, and then slowly walked out, slightly tugging at my sleeve for me to do the same.

Aaron's POV

"Am I that bad?" Robert asked as we walked out to the car. "Of course not! You're wonderful, you know that" I replied. "Awww, Aaron's being soppy! That's cute" Robert replied. "And I'm the soppy one? Come one, lets go then" Aaron said.

Later on, we got back to the pub, and Diane ws serving. "Hiya Diane, do you know where my mum is?" I asked. "Hiya pet, your mums gone to bed, said she wasn't feeling too good, wasn't long after you two left actually" Diane replied. Me and Robert looked at each other, wide eyed. Luckily, Diane never noticed. "We're just going to go through to the back Diane" I said, and she smiled and nodded as we went through. "Have I actually made her feel sick? I knew it was only a matter of time" Said Robert, a sad look on his face. "No, she's just stressed. More than usual" I told him, and gave him a smile. I got a smaller one back. "Robert what if she cant cope? With the trial, and with everything else, and-" I started to cry, I couldn't help it. "What if she becomes paranoid again? I cant go through it again, she hardly coped last time!" I was about to ramble on but Robert pulled me into a hug, telling me that it'll be okay. And no one else can make me feel like its going to be okay, except Robert. "Come on, it's going to be okay" Robert whispered, and he stroked my head and kissed my temple. And I can honestly say I haven't felt safe like this in ages.
