Aaron's POV

I had to lean to give my mum a hug after she told me that Robert had told her about Andy. That was a mistake. Robert came back through just as my mum said "What the hell is that on your neck?". We both froze. "W-what?" I asked, sitting back down. Robert came and sat next to me, and as he put his arm around me, he lifted up my hoodie discreetly. "There's nothing on his neck" he said, defending me. "There was, it was a dark red!" My mum raised her voice. "There's nothing there, mum" I lied. "Hm, alright" she said, squinting her eyes as she got up and walked away. Robert waited until she'd gone far enough, and said "What the hell are we going to do?" He asked. "I don't know. She's gonna find out soon, whether we tell her or not" I replied, and he nodded. "We need to tell her" I added, and Robert sighed. We got up, and walked over to my mum having a conversation with Kerry, she didn't look to happy. Kerry saw us and said "I've got to go, er, Joanie wants help with something" before quickly leaving. "What's that about?" I asked. "You two. Back room. Now. Charity!!" My mum yelled. Shit! I looked at Robert to see he was already looking at me. We walked through to the back room, and sat down.

Robert's POV

Chas looked at me and shouted "TOLD ME EVERYTHING, DID YOU?!". She was practically screaming, which is very unusual for her. "Mum, calm down!" Aaron shouted at her. "Well. I wouldn't have to shout if you had told me you'd ALMOST BEEN KILLED!" She yelled back. "Do you know what? I don't have to listen to you scream at us because we didn't want you to be scared" he shouted, punched the door and broke it, and walked out, with me following. "I'm going for a walk" he said as we walked out of the pub. "Do you want me to go? Or..." I suggested. "Yeah, I'll see you back home later" he said, squeezing my shoulder before walking off. I decided to go to Vic's, and tell her what happened before anyone else does. I knocked on her door, and waited until she answered. "Hiya Robert" she said, letting me in. I went and sat down on her sofa, and she made us coffee. "You alright?" She asked, passing me the mug. "Er, yeah...now" I replied, sipping my coffee. She frowned, and asked "What do you mean?". "Well, er, Chrissie escaped prison, didn't she...and held Aaron hostage, just after Adam left..." I started. Her face grew more shocked as I continued. "And, I phoned the police before going into the portacabin. And...I got held hostage too" I told her, and she had to put her mug down. "Oh my god Robert!! Is that the cut on Aaron's neck??" She asked, still in shock. I just nodded.

Aaron's POV

I found myself at the quarry. Didn't even realise I was walking there. Upset, I looked down, thinking about it. Is it even worth all of this stress? I sat down, right at the edge, and let my legs hang. All I have to do is push myself off. Just one little push. As my legs swung, a few little rocks fell from beneath me. I remember the last time I was here. I was nervous, panicking that I couldn't make a decision. Now I was calm, calmly gripping the edge, calmly getting ready to push myself off and calmly end it all. The doubt washed over me. You can't do it. But everyone would forget about you. Robert would find someone else, Adam would find a new best friend, your mum would get over it. Liv would get over it. She hates you half of the time, anyway. You'd just be a statistic, a skeleton under the ground...no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop thinking like that. Dirt stuck to my palms as they started to sweat. Tears were falling down my face. I'd made my decision. I was about to push myself off of the cliff when I heard someone yell "Aaron wait!!". Holly?! I heard someone running to me and I tried to push myself off before she reached me but she dragged me back using my hoodie. I didn't know she was that strong! She pulled me back a bit more and ran in front of me, kneeled and hugged me. I hugged her back, crying properly now. "Oh my god please don't ever do that EVER, Aaron!" she pleaded, crying as well. "I-I'm sorry" I mumbled into her shoulder. "Right, come on. My mums out so I'll make you a cup of tea, okay?" She suggested, letting go of the hug. I just nodded, I didn't have the strength to argue and to be honest I kind of missed her friendship. She helped me up, and we walked to Moira's. "So why were you at the quarry?" I asked, half hoping she wouldn't hear. "I go there to think sometimes...Aaron, why were you gonna do it?" Holly asked, sitting down. "I just don't want to be here anymore" I mumbled in response, looking down into my mug. She patted my shoulder, sighing. "It'll get better. I mean, you've got Robert, and your mum, and Liv, and Adam, haven't you?" She told me, and I nodded. "All I do is cause them pain" I sighed. "No you don't. Chas always seems happy, and Adam doesn't complain nearly as much about Robert, or his sulking, so Robert must be happier as well. And Liv seems to get in less trouble now so that's good as well" she said, and I smiled. "You think so?" I asked timidly. She nodded and smiled, and I smiled back. "Thanks, Holly" I responded, and she replied "It's fine".

Robert's POV

I walked out of Vic's, and decided to go home. Surely Aaron would be there now? The door was locked, and no one answered when I called out once I'd got in the living room. I decided to see if he was at the pub. As I walked along the street, Chas came out. "Have you seen Aaron?" She called. "Er, I was just going to ask you the same thing" I replied. "He isn't answering his phone" she told me as she walked over, getting more worried. "Chas, calm down. He might be at work, or in Hotten" I tried to calm her. As we stood thinking, Aaron appeared. "Oh, there you are! I've been worried about you!" Chas shouted, running over and hugging him. "Calm down mum, I've been at work!" He replied, and I frowned. Hadn't he gone for a walk? "Didn't you go for a walk?" I asked him. "Er, yeah. But then I went to the scrapyard. Had to go out to make a deal" he told me, and I nodded, knowing he was lying. I think he knew I knew, looking at me as Chas apologised for screaming. "Right, I'm gonna go home mum" he said, as she apologised again. "Okay, see you soon love" she said as we said goodbye and walked down to the house. "So, are you gonna really tell me where you were?" I asked him as we got inside. "I had a long catchup with Holly. I know my mum would worry because of what's gone on with her" he explained, and I hugged him and kissed him. But I still wasn't 100% sure though..
