Chapter seventeen. {Part One}

Ryder's Pov.

Upset.

Angry.

Mad.

Words couldn't describe how I felt for my sister right now. She shouldn't be doing this alone, now especially that she is having two babies instead of one. I shouldn't call him, he's out on bail right now until the trial. I shouldn't. I really shouldn't. I also have to remember that these are his kids too.

I pull out my phone and dial his number. A few rings later, he picks up.

Jackson: Ryder?

Ryder: Hi Jackson.

Jackson: What do you need? What's up? Is Alex okay? The baby?

Ryder: Yeah, um.. About that, she having the baby right now, actually babies. There's two. Twins, and she wanted me to call you. They just took her up to labor and delivery. She uh.. Wants you here. Not for her, but for your daughters. Can you come down?

Jackson: Yeah.. I'll be there soon,

Ryder: Alright.

With that I hang up the phone.

I sit down an a wait for what seems like forever and until I see Jackson walk though the door over to me.

"Any updates?" He says walking over and brushing his hand though his hair.

"No, I haven't gotten anything yet."

"I fucked up. I can't even be there for my girls." He says.

"Look, I really want to kill you right now, your only here right now because Alex wanted you here. You can still be there just not as much as you wanted to be." I say pulling my hand in his shoulder, "Look lets just sit and talk until the doctor comes out."

"Okay. Okay." He says sitting down.

*A few moments later*

"I'm looking for the family of Alexandra James?" Dr. Pierce says as he walks out.

"Yes. That would be me." I say.

"Well. Everything went fine. She's in recovery right now. The babies are doing great. There in the NICU because they are premature but they were screaming when they come out, all ten fingers and toes. Would you like to go see her?" He asks.

"Jackson you go ahead. I'm gonna go see my nieces." I say gesturing him to Dr. Pierce.

"Are you sure?" He asks.

"Yeah go ahead." I say.

"Thanks." He says.

"Anytime." I say heading to the NICU.
