Chapter 26

Annaleise's POV.

Ron gave me his best attempt of an 'I Hate You So Much Right Now' glare, which made me roar with laughter once again. You see, when Ron found out I was only acting about the spider, he threw a massive fit saying I was teasing him about his fears, and in truth, I was, but I wasn't gonna admit that anytime soon. Instead, I just cracked up laughing, making Ron glare at me harder, which he has been doing for about five minutes. "Okay, okay, I'll stop now." I managed to splutter out between my giggles.

"About time." Ron muttered darkly, before turning to the door and resting his ear against it. A few more splutters came out of my closed mouth as I followed his actions and rested my ear against the door too, to hear if anybody was coming.

"Have you ever thought about dying your hair?" I asked Ron curiously, staring at his bright ginger hair that the Weasleys were famous for.

"What the bloody hell is dye?"

"Muggle stuff. You use it to colour your hair."

"Does it take effort to do?"

"I guess so, never used it myself."

"Then no."

I took a moment to ponder what he just said, "I reckon you will later in life."

"Nahh."

"Yeahh."

"Nahh."

"Arghh!" We both yelled as well fell out of the door that was just pulled away from our ears, and standing right above our heads were the five grinning faces.

"Look what we found Clyde!" The boy on the left yelled out over his shoulder before sending a grin to the other boys standing above us. I noticed their ties, ahh, green and silver.. They looked about fourth year too, oh boy.

"Um, guys? Can you let me get up? Its not very ladylike laying on the floor like this." I said stiffly, indicating to my awkward position on the floor.

One of the boys noticed my non-uniformed state. "Wha' 'ouse are you?" He grunted, spitting saliva on my face, totally ignoring my request.

"Slytherin." I lied confidently.

"Oh really." Another boy standing directly above my head jeered. "Then why are you with that blood traitor?"

"I was trying to get the answers to the homework Snape set us." I lied again, pulling out my wand from my shoe and twirling it in my hands, making it obvious I was armed. They eyed my white, jeweled wand nervously before I said, "Now, I have to go." I spat, standing up and pulling Ron up with me. "See you around, or not."

I turned to walk in the direction of the Great Hall but a burly hand clamped itself on my shoulder. "Shame really, your wand gave you away. Only one person in the world has a wand like that, and that is Annaleise Snape, first year, and Snape's adopted daughter. Also, she is now one of the James, the most powerful Witch of this generation. The Dark Lord's daughter. Hear that boys? Can you imagine the rewards we'd get if we turned this girl in to the Dark Lord?" A cold voice drawled in my ear, making me shiver. Damn it! Cover blown.

"STUPIFY!" I yelled, spinning around and shooting the spell at the tall, muscular fourth year that I thought was called 'Clyde'. He shot back a few meters before hitting the ground, and staying on the ground. Two of the buffons ran over to see if he was okay, so I shot a spell at them to, making them fall to the ground, unconcious. Where did I even learn stupify? Blame Hermione Granger Syndrome.

"INCENDIO!" A voice roared, and I narrowly dodged the jet of flames that were aimed at me. It was the one that questioned me before, now holding his wand with a murderous expression on his face.

"Now that wasn't very nice." I taunted him, dodging the spells that we being shot at me, one after the other. One other boy stood behind the guy shooting spells at me, so I shot him a sly grin, and he ran away, cowering. Ron stood behind me, with his wand shaking in his hand, but did nothing. So, it was between me and this guy, aye? Won't this be fun. I dodged another jet of flames and quickly stowed my wand away in my shoe again. Time to test out what I can do. I lay my left hand on my right in a fighting position and took a deep breath. The guy I was fighting stopped for a second, fear crossed his expression. "Stay behind me Ron." I whispered before closing my eyes and letting power take control of my body.

"Bloody hell!" Ron whispered from behind me. I could feel hot power coursing through my veins and escaping through my tattoo. It was like I was laying in a hot pool of water, yet, my skin wasn't getting wet, only my veins. I could feel shots of energy pulsing and shooting out of my tattoo, and I could also feel every spell fired at me, it was like a soft electric shock. I could also feel my energy draining as I held in my postition. A loud 'BOOM!' echoed though the school as I let go of the power. My eyes opened in shock to see a thick, transparent, purple shield surrounding Ron and I, before popping and pushing back the fourth year as if there was a truck pushing him back and away from us. Oh my god.

I turned to Ron with wide eyes, ignoring the crowd that had gathered. "Wicked!" I crowded to him, and watched him smirk in return.

"I always knew your anger problem was going to get the best of you one day."

"Oh, shut up Ron."
