Chapter 19

Nicole's P.O.V.

I've been staying at Austin's house for quite awhile since after my mom passed. Things have been getting better but only because Austin has been trying so hard to keep me happy. His friends Alex and Robert moved in with us because the got into some trouble about two weeks ago.

From what I've heard they ran into a gang and didn't return what they were supposed too. Austin didn't really get involved which I was happy about, but I knew he was going to do something about it if they ever came back.

Me, Alex, and Robert were sitting in the living room when Austin entered the doorway. "Wanna go get something to eat?" Austin said looking at all of us. We all looked at each other and then of course Alex got up right away and grabbed the car keys.

We all got in the car and Alex drove us to a bar & grill. I didn't understand why we always went to a bar & grill because none of us could drink, but we did anyway at parties and such. I ordered a cheese burger and Mountain Dew, Austin ordered a bacon cheeseburger, Alex ordered two burgers, and then Robert got chicken strips. After our food came we gobbled it down in seconds.

Austin paid the tab then we decided to go home see what we wanted to do tonight. Personally I just wanted to stay home and watch a movie but Alex and Robert wanted to go to a party a little out of town.

"Are you sure you don't want to go?" Austin said sticking out his lower lip. "I'm sure, but I'll be waiting for you to get back." I said sitting on the bed. He put on his light blue jeans and a black sweatshirt with his Jordan's, and damn did he look good. After he finished brushing his teeth he jumped and tackled me on the bed. I laughed while he laid on top of me. "Let's go!" Alex yelled up the stairs. Austin rolled his eyes and I just laughed. "You better get going before Alex has a tantrum." I said sitting up. "I will agree with you on that one. Bye babe be safe." Austin said closing the door behind him.

After I saw the car pull out of the driveway I changed into shorts and a black tank top, then put my hair in a messy bun. I had the whole house to myself for a bit so I decided to order some pizza and watch a movie. I pulled up Netflix and it took me at least 20 minutes to find a movie. All of me. I never get to watch these types of movies when they're home so I decided to now.

It took forever for my pizza to get here. *knock knock* "Oh that must be the pizza boy." I said springing out of my blankets. I opened up the door, "Twenty dollars please." I gave him twenty-five and told him to keep the tip. "Have a good night ma'am." The boy said turning around. "I'm starving." I said opening the box and sat back on the couch.

After about an hour or two it was only 11:30 so I decided maybe I would show up at the party. I skipped up the stairs to mine and Austin's room. I walked into my bathroom and plugged in the straightener. I slid on my jeans and grabbed my makeup bag. After I was finished with my makeup I did my hair and I put on a purple v-neck. Before I put on flip-flops I grabbed the necklace Austin gave me. It was a diamond shaped like a heart and it has the date we met on the back. It was one of the best gifts I've ever received.

By the time I got downstairs it was 12. So I grabbed my keys to my Lincoln and headed outside. I locked up the house and walked to my car. I grabbed the door handle then turned around. "Aren't you a pretty girl." A guy that looked like one of the guys that messed around with Alex and Rob. I screamed and then he covered my mouth and grabbed me. He forced water down my throat but I didn't think it was just water because after it went down, I fell asleep fast.

Austin's P.O.V.

"You guys we should start heading home soon we've been gone for three hours." I said looking down at my watch. "Man chill, I'm sure Nicole's fine." Alex said with a beer in his hand. "Yeah dude relax. Why don't you just call her." Robert said holding a red solo cup. "Okay I'm gonna step outside, if she doesn't answer we're driving home." I said grabbing my phone out of my pocket. They both rolled their eyes but I knew they'd understand.

"Nicole is not at the phone right now please leave a message after the-" "Are you serious Nicole." I muttered. I went back inside and got Alex and Robert, they weren't to thrilled to leave but it didn't matter to me. We got in the Range Rover and drove thirty minutes home. When we pulled up all the lights were off and the house was locked. "Whew I thought the door would've been unlocked." I said looking at Alex. Robert started throwing up so I slung his arm over my shoulder and gave him assistance. I threw him on the couch then went upstairs to mine and Nicole's room.

"Nicole?" I said opening the door. "Babe?" No answer. I flicked on the light and panicked. I ran into every room and she wasn't there. "You guys she's gone! What the f*** happened!" I said sprinting down the stairs. "Wait she's not here?" Robert said standing up. "Obviously not!" I said filling the entire house. "Do you think it's the guys that me and Alex messed around with?" Robert said curiously. "I have no clue but what I do know is your gonna come with me and help me." I said grabbing my keys and Alex.

"Wait where are we going?" Alex said half sleeping. "To find Nicole, no matter what it takes."
