New Years resolutions

Emily's P.O.V.

I've been cleaning the house all day getting prepared for the party. I practically invited everyone from school. I made sure it was cool with my mom so she went out with some friends and wouldn't be home till tomorrow.

After I was done cleaning and hiding every breakable thing I started to make some punch. I dumped it into a big bowl and layed out six bags of chips. "Classic high school party." I said smiling to myslef.

When everything was in place I decided I should pull myself together. I'm guessing all the basketball players are coming because Austin and Alex are. So I have to at least look decent.

I curled my hair and put a little mascara on. I was rushing myself so I jogged to my closet and pulled out a pair of black leggings and a sky blue v neck. "Good enough." I said taking one last look in the mirror.

Right when I got downstairs Cassie walked in with Alex attached to her waist. "Lookin good sis." Cassie said smiling.

She looked so pretty tonight. She had her hair curled and was wearing a yellow sun dress with black wedges. "Man if I knew.you were gonna look that good I would've worn something better." I said laughing. "Don't worry you always look drop dead gorgeous." She said taking off her coat.

"Are you guys done with this whole girl thing?" Alex said rolling his eyes. Me and Cassie looked at each other. "Should we spare him?" I asked her. "I think so." She said smiling and kissed his cheek.

I laughed then turned on my Dr. Dre speakers. I plugged in my phone and played some music. Mine and Cassie's favorite song came on. Trophies by Drake. We both looked at each other and laughed. "Come on!" She said grabbing my hand. We started dancing randomly. Alex was video taping us on his phone. I stuck my tongue out at him then stopped dancing.

"Why'd you guys stop?" He asked laughing a little. "Because someone ruined it." Cassie said turning her back on him. "I'm sorry babe." He said snaking his arms around her. I felt akward watching them so I walked into the kitchen.

*Couple hours later*

The music was blaring and there was a bunch of people here. There was dirty dancing. But I guess it's better then having alcohol. I walked by Cassie and Alex. It sounded like Alex wanted to dance but Cassie was never the type to in front of people.

"Have you seen Austin?" I whispered in her ear. She nodded her head no then turned back to Alex and a couple other guys.

When I turned around I bumped into a hard chest. "Oh sorry-" I said looking up to a pair of hazel eyes. "Hey." He said flashing a smile. "Hi." I said blushing a little.

He looked anazing. He spiked his hair and wore a blue flannel rolled up to his elbows with jeans. I fell head of heels when he wore that outfit.

A slow song played. I saw Alex and Cassie walking out to the dance floor. "Sooo." He said carrying the 'o'. I giggled which made him smile a little. "Wanna dance?" He said looking down at me. "I would love to dance with you Mr.Mahone." I said in a sarcastic tone. "Good." He said grabbing my hand then leading me to the living room.

I haven't heard this song before but it just sounded familiar for some reason. Austin's hands made his way to my hips. I brought my arms around his neck. "This is nice." I said resting my head in the crook of his neck. "Yeah, your right."

After the song was over it was about a couple minutes before the countdown.

I made my way over to the radio and turned off the music. "Okay everyone the countdown is ready to start! Find a place and then we'll be ending our 2014!" I yelled over the crowed. Austin helped me down so I wouldn't fall.

Everyone was standing or sitting by someone special. "59, 58,57,56...." everyone started. I found Cassie and Alex. She was sitting on his lap with Austin by him. He patted his legs wanting me to sit down, so I did. "10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1" Right before I got pulled into tight arms I saw everyone kissing including me.
