Nicole's P.O.V.

I was sad that I had to miss the dance tonight but I know I had to go to Minneapolis.  I talked to my mom about it but I felt gilt if I went. She told me it wasn't bad if I went but I still didn't want to let my grandma down.

After awhile everyone texted me and asked if u was going to the dance. I gave in on the pressure then went to my mom's room and plopped myself on her bed. "Hey mom?" "Yes sweetie?" She said finishing up painting her nails. "Is it still fine if I go to the dance then we can leave tomorrow morning?" She nodded then continued blowing on her nails.

I went to my room and picked out a white dress. It looked good on me. I looked through my shoes and pulled out a black pair of 1 inch heels. I went into the bathroom and curled my hair then pinned one piece back. Before I left I slid on a brown leather jacket then saw Austin in my driveway.

When I got in the car he smiled up at me. He was in a black suit and tie with his hair gelled up. Messy but cute.

"You look good." He said backing out of my driveway.  "So do you." I said smiling at him and fixing my dress. "How you doing?" He said with sorrowful eyes. "I'm good I just need to have a fun night." The rest of the ride to the high school was quiet.

We pulled into the parking lot and Austin went to my door and held it open for me. I got out and tool my jacket off then layed it in the passenger seat. "Would you like to be my first dance?" He said raising one eyebrow. I laughed and nodded. We walked in and Callie came and greeted me with a hug. "I'm so glad you came!" She said over the loud music. "Me too!"

We all headed to the dance floor. Me and Callie started dancing around until a slow song came on. Alex pulled her to the side and put his hands on her hips while hers were around his neck. I stared at them for a second until Austin took my hand. My hand in his, I followed his footsteps. "Your a pretty good dancer." I said looking into his eyes. "Not bad yourself either." He said looking up at Alex. I turned around saw Alex mouthing something but I couldn't figure it out.

A group of guys were staring at me but I didn't give them the attention. All my attention was on Austin. He was perfect. I wanted to tell him that I liked him so much but I didn't know if he felt the same way.

After the dance was over I pulled away from him. A guy came over to me and took my hand. Before he pulled me away I saw a wash of anger apear on Austin's face.

I didn't know the guy and he pulled me around the corner. "So you know Austin." The guy said. I glared at him and nodded. "Just so you know he has a reputation. Just thought a pretty girl like you should know." He said with a smirk on his face. Nervousness washed over me. "What kind of reputation?" I said before he left. "At his old school he fooled around with girls a lot, never was trustworthy, did some bad stuff to girls he didn't care about." Tears were brought to my eyes. "Be careful. " he said then left me alone in the dark.

Tears filled my eyes. I couldn't get close to Austin. I didn't want my heart to be broken again like it was last time. I pulled myself together then tried to find Callie.

I caught up with my friend Anthony and asked him for a ride. He nodded and said he was ready to leave too. I didn't have my phone so I didn't tell them I was leaving but I'm sure they were having fun and I didn't want Callie to worry.

I thanked Anthony and went up the steps to my house. When I got inside I ran up to my room and layed on my back. Tears slowly rolled down my cheeks and down to my neck. I didn't wipe or stop them I just needed to cry for a bit.

After I was done I forced myself up and went to my bathroom. I got in the shower then finished shortly later. I pulled out a pair of cheer sweatpants and a old grey tee-shirt. I braided my hair then climbed into bed.

Austin's P.O.V.

I walked over to Blake and punched him right in the jaw. "What did you say to her?" I said holding the collar of his tux. He didn't say anything so I made another fist. "Woah woah." He said putting up his hands. "I just told her about your past ya know the usual." He said with a smirk across his face. I glared at him and threw him to the ground. When I walked away he rubbed his jaw.

I knew he would mess this all up. The girl I actually cared for and thought she liked me back he just had to show up and ruin it. I hope I can clear things up. I was walking fast towards the door and got in my car then went for a long drive.

When I was turning around the corner all I saw was headlights shining right at me.
