Chapter 2

Nicole's P.O.V.

When the last bell rang I wanted to go and try to find Austin. Callie was right, I did think he was cute and all...but I just hope he's not a jerk.

I walked down the hall toward the gyms. Austin was talking to the basketball coach, which made me stop and try to hear anything. "Yeah I would like to play basketball here, my last coach said I was pretty good at it so I hope you think the same," he said in a very convincing way. "Yeah son, I'll think about it," coach Whitey said. Then with that Austin walked away, which made me jogg a little ahead.

Austin's P.O.V.

"Hey Nicole," I said jogging up to her. "Hey Austin," Nicole said looking up at me with a smile. Which made me smile too. "What are you up to?" "Just going to change for practice," she said stopping by the girls locker room. "Oh cool, what sport do you play?" I asked her. "I do cheerleading and volleyball," she said smiling down at the floor. "Sweet, I just do basketball," I said with a quick chuckle. Which made her do the same. "Well I have to go I'll cat uo with you later," she said looking up at me. Before she entered the locker room I grabbed her arm and handed her a piece of paper. "Text me," I said with a wink then jogged towards the doors.

Nicole's P.O.V.

Before I went into the locker room I had to try to stop smiling, but it was impossible. After about 5 minutes of just standing there I went inside and changed into a tee-shirt and a pair of running shorts. When I walked in the gym Callie was leading stretches so I quickly joined in. "Hey girls," I said with a huge smile on my face. "Why you so happy," Callie said having a smile on her face and her hands on her hips. "I'll tell you later, but first we have to finish the routine for our song," I said walking towards the radio. "Everbody ready! 1,2,3!" Then I pushed the play button and we all started.

In the middle of the song the basketball players came in and started running laps. Callie stopped and waved at Alex. Then following after Alex was Austin. He gave me a quick smile which I returned but then got back to what I was doing.

"Good job girls! We'll pick it up on Thursday," I said giving everyone a smile. Me and Callie were walking out when all of a sudden Alex picked her up and gave her a quick kiss. "Call me after practice babe!" She told him while he jogged off. We got into the locker room and I quick brushed my hair then threw it in a messy bun. Callie walked over and sat on the bench beside me. "Well that was quick," I said pulling my sweatshirt over my head. "Yeah wanted to see how Alex is doing at basketball," she said taking out her phone. "Oh haha, don't worry I'll be finished quick just need to put on a new pair of shorts," I said pulling my shorts up then slipping on my tennis shoes. "Ready," I said smiling at her. "Okay let's go grab our back packs first." I followed her down the hallway to pick her bag up first. Then we went to my locker. I pulled out my navy blue under armor backpack and slid my phone in the pocket of my sweatshirt. "Finally I can go see my babe!" She said laughing and started running down the hallway. "Wait up," I said laughing and following right behind her.

"He looks pretty good," Callie said winking at me. "Hey back off," I said giving her a weak shove. "I'm leaving with or with out you," I said turning my back and swinging my keys around my finger. Right after I said that she replied, "Hell no, I ain't walking home!" She said running up beside me. We got to the parking lot and we hopped in my car.

"Bye bye, text me,"  I told Callie before she got out. "Okay I wil, love ya sis," she said slamming the door. I smiled then backed out of her driveway. I got home and I got right in the shower. When I got out I slipped on my PINK sweat pants and a tank top.

I pulled out my phone and typed in Austin's number.

Nicole: Hey its Nicole:)

Austin: Hey! How was practice?

Nicole: Same as usual, how was practice?

Austin: Good, I think the coach likes me;) haha I'll talk to you tomorrow at school goodnight!:)

Nicole: Goodnight:)

I put my phone on my night stand then layer down and pulled up the covers. I smiled up at the ceiling for which seemed like forever, but then I fell asleep with butterflies and a smile on my face.
