"Skarlet, you couldn't kill a simple boy?" Quan Chi asked. "He outsmarted me, master." Quan Chi then pushed her off of the step she stood on. She fell face-first onto the floor. "Next time I'll throw you into the Dead Pool". He turned to Samara. "Launch the attack!" "Yes, master." Samara replied. Meanwhile, Saige, Kitana, Liu Kang and Jade talked about the defenses. "I double-checked, everything is ready. Sindel has also been evacuated." "Good job, Saige." Kitana replied to her son. "The battle can now commence." Suddenly, a deafening roar was heard. Saige went to see what it was and was horrified to see it. "Kintaro!" Saige yelled. The Edenian Resistance charged at the Brotherhood of Shadow and the Brotherhood did the same. Samara and Skarlet ran off towards the buildings. Samara ignited a match and threw it at a small, wooden home. Skarlet stayed back while she did this. Saige was tearing through all Brotherhood members that attacked him, which made Samara mad. "Skarlet, come. I'm going to kill my brother." Kitana, Jade and Liu Kang fought together. "We have to retreat to the castle!" Kitana called out. "On it!" The soldiers responded. When Kitana and the others made it to the castle, Kitana killed off 3 demons at once. "Good one, mom!" Saige called out with a smile. Then suddenly, Samara wrapped her arm around Saige's head, and jerked it sharply to the right, causing Saige to fall over. "SAIGE!!" Kitana screamed. She knelt over next to him and watched as the life was slowly drained out of him. Samara stood over her dead brother, proud of what she did. Skarlet just stood there as a tear rolled down her face. Jade tried to attack Samara, but Samara caught her attack and kicked her in the face. Liu Kang knelt next to Kitana and closed his eyes as a sad expression spread across his face. Samara laughed maniacally as she stared at her dead brother.
