I walked into Abhay's room, holding the hot cup of tea.
He lay under the blanket with a hot towel on his head.
"Here drink this." I held the cup out for him to take. He sat up and the blanket fell, revealing his toned chest and abs. I quickly looked away.
"Ah!" He hissed as he held the cup instead of the handle.
"It's hot, be careful." I said.
"Thanks for the heads up." He said, his hoarse voice laced with sarcasm.
"Well it wasn't my fault that you got sick after standing in the rain." I reminded him.
He took a sip of the tea I made. "Thanks." He placed the tea onto his bedside table and laid back into his bed, I looked around his room. It was exactly like mine, only bigger and more spacious.
He coughed then groaned in pain. I placed my hand onto his forehead.
"Your condition is getting worse." I stated, he refused to go to a doctor let alone take some pills.
"I told you I heal by myself I don't need any medication. I didn't need anyone to look after me so I'll be just fine." He argued, not opening his eyes.
"What happened to 'I never get sick.' Huh? Look where your ego got you now." I replied.
"I get sick so rarely that I heal within a day or two." He said, covering his face with a pillow.
I huffed. "It's been two days and you're getting further away from better."
"Ugh Tina I'm fine-" He then had a coughing fit.
I quickly grabbed his glass of water and gave it to him. He took it and gulped it down then he looked at me and I smirked.
"Okay fine, I admit you're right. What do you want me to do." He whined like a child.
"Take your meds." I said.
"I can't."
"Why?"
"Because I never bought any in a while." He looked down. I sighed and got up. "Wait, where are you going?" He asked.
"To get your medicine." I said.
"Alone? I'll come with." He started getting up.
"No no no, you are in no condition to leave the house. Stay here and I'll be back within half an hour." I turned and made my way to my bedroom.
After I got ready in black tights and a red top I made my way to his room again. He was awake and checking his phone.
I left a sticky note onto his table. "My number, if you need anything then text me." I said and he nodded, not really paying attention.
I was about to leave when he grabbed my hand and placed his car keys in them. "Take my car, it's raining outside."
"But-"
"Don't argue just go, I trust you." He said and I made my way to his car.
The drive was short, only a couple of minutes before I arrived at the mall.
His car was so smooth on the road and it smelt like Hugo Boss, I craved it.
Whilst waiting in line to get medicines from the chemist a little girl sat next to me, with a backpack which she hugged tightly to her body.
"Hello." She said in an adorable voice and looked up to me.
"Hi." I smiled. She looked about four years old and she had the most adorable, innocent face.
"Are you buying sweets?" She asked and I laughed.
"No I'm buying medicines."
"Why? Are you sick?" She asked.
"No sweety, my uh...friend is sick so I'm buying it for him."
"Is he your boyfriend?" She asked innocently.
I laughed. "No. Do you have a boyfriend?" I raised my eyebrows.
"No! Boys are ew." She scrunched her face and I chuckled.
"What's your name sweety?" I asked.
"Diya." She said proudly.
"Oh my, what a lovely name." She blushed.
"And what's yours?"
"Tina." I answered.
"You're very pretty, your hair is so long too." She gently took some of my hair into her hand. "So soft, and smells nice too." I laughed again, she was too cute.
After chatting to her for about a few minutes she started shivering. I quickly removed my brown jacket and placed it around her. "There you go." I smiled. She snuggled into the jacket and closed her eyes.
"So warm." She sighed.
I quickly went and got Abhay's pills and went back to the waiting area. I saw Diya still there.
"Diya, where is your mom?" I asked, surely her mother wouldn't leave alone in a mall.
"I don't know. I think at home." She looked around.
"Your dad?"
"I only see him once a month." I was surprised by her answer but didn't want to question her, she was a child afterall.
"Well, who brought you here?" I asked, I didn't want to leave her alone.
"Sugna. My nanny." She told me.
"Ok lets go find her." I said and held her hand.
"No I want to stay with you." She whined.
"But I have to go give these medicines to my friend." I reasoned.
"Oh ok." She huffed. Shame, poor girl.
Not much longer a woman in her forties ran to us and hugged Diya.
"Don't run away like that, okay? I was so worried." She said to Diya then looked at me.
"Sorry Sugna, I won't do it again but look, this is my new friend. Tina." She looked at me.
"Hi, nice to meet you Sugna." I smiled.
"You too, Tina." She smiled sweetly.
"I've to go but I'll see you around Diya. Bye." I waved and they both waved in return.
I quickly got into Abhay's car and drove home.
When I opened the door I was surprised to see Abhay all dressed up and coughing whilst putting on his coat.
"What are you doing?" I asked, he shouldn't leave the house because of his health.
"Where were you? You said you'd be gone for half an hour but it's been one and a half hours!" He whined. Wow, I must have spent a lot of time with Diya then.
"I'm so sorry, I know you're feeling a lot if pain and I should have came to give you your medicin-"
"I wasn't worried about my meds I was worried about you! I thought you got kidnapped or got involved in an accident." His words touched my heart, he was worried about me...he was even willing to go out and look for me even in his sick state, he cared for me, just like I care for him.
"Oh well, I was having a chat with a little girl and I helped her find her nanny so that's what took so long." I said.
"Oh okay. Shame" he said and made his way to his room.
