I quickly pulled out of Parth's hug.
"I have to go." I said quickly.
"Are you gonna be alright?" He asked.
"Yeah. I'll see you tomorrow." I watched secretly as Abhay turned around swiftly and headed towards his cabin.
"Alright. Take care Teens and don't worry about Mr. Ranawat. He's probably angry because he hasn't got laid in a while." Parth laughed.
I was so grateful that Abhay left before Parth made the inappropriate statement.
"You're disgusting." I laughed and headed towards my bicycle.
I decided to go to the mall and calm myself down.
I walked passed a few stores and got bored.
I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and I suddenly knocked into a lady holding a cup of coffee.
It stained my white shirt and burned slightly but it wasn't too hot.
"Oh my goodness I'm so sorry I didn't-..." I looked at the middle aged woman in front of me. "Mrs. Naidoo?" I asked.
"Yes?" She looked up at me and her eyes widened. "Oh my, Tina? Is that really you?" She beamed and gave me a hug. I hugged her back tightly. "My, it's been three years. You're looking lovely, my child." She complimented and all my sadness evaporated into thin air. Mrs. Naidoo was one of my best friend's mom, Mihika, I knew her since the start of highschool. Mrs. Naidoo was a hairdresser and even Mihika wanted to become one.
"How are you doing? Is Mihika a hairdresser yet?" I asked. Mihika and I lost contact for a while because we were busy with our studies and she moved away with her family somewhere. They must have moved back.
"Yes she is. As a matter of fact, we just opened our salon here two weeks ago." Her face gleamed.
I got excited. "That's amazing! Is Mihika here? I really miss her."
"Yes she is, I'll take you to-...oh my look at your shirt! I've ruined it. I'm terribly sorry Teen." She apologised.
"It's alright I'll just meet Mihika and head home." I said.
When I entered the salon it was quiet and I saw a figure sitting at the receptionist desk, buffing her nails.
"You haven't changed since I left you." I teased and her head snapped up. Her eyes widened and a smile was smacked onto her face.
"Tina!" She squealed and hugged me.
After a few minutes of catching up with her she saw my shirt.
"Well I always knew you had bad taste in clothes but this is just terrible." She joked and I laughed.
"That was my fault." Mrs. Naidoo said. "Mihika give her one of your shirts in the back." She said.
"No thank you I'll head home now." I said.
"No Tina! Follow me." I follwed Mihika to their staff room.
She gave me a black shirt with a V-neck and it showed a bit of my cleavage. "This was the only shirt I had here, sorry." I felt bad to say no so I quickly wore the shirt and put my white one in my bag.
"Thank you."
"Your hair is so long and beautiful." She complimented. "But why did you tie it up in a pony? You should let it loose."
"I mainly go to Uni and it's hard to maintain it whilst I'm working, I guess I got used to it being tied up." I spoke honestly.
"Then maybe you should get a haircut." She wiggled her eyebrows and I laughed.
"I'm good thanks."
"Oh c'mon please? Let me do it, I'll make you look stunning...well, more thank you already are." She begged.
"I don't know, I haven't cut my hair since I was seventeen." I thought about it.
"Please please please?" She begged. Just then Mrs. Naidoo walked through the door and Mihika told her her plan.
"Yes, Tina stay a little longer and let my daughter do your hair. It's our treat." She smiled.
"I have to pay you-"
"Oh hush now, you're our family. And this is an apology for spilling coffee on you." She smiled and I knew better than to argue with her. I nodded.
Mihika squealed and made me sit in a chair. "Now, let me make you a masterpiece."

"Open!" Mihika said.
I opened my eyes and a gasp escaped my lips. I was in awe when I saw my reflection.
My forehead was always on display because my hair had no volume at the top, but now it had bangs, making my hair look fuller and thicker. It used to travel all the way down my back, ending just above my bottom, but now it ended just by my bra strap.
I looked younger, more lively compared to before.
"What do you think?"
"I love it." I praised. "Thank you Mihika." I gave her a hug.
"Not a problem." She smiled. "You look sexy." She winked and I laughed.
We bid our farewells and exchanged numbers.
I drove happily on my bicycle, feeling the fresh breeze sift through my new hair.
I parked my bike and made way to the front door.
But my smile instantly dropped when I entered the house.
"Where the fuck have you been?" Abhay shouted at me. Events from earlier flashed across my mind.
"I-I was at the mall." I answered.
"At seven in the evening? Really?" He mocked me.
"I lost track of time. I'm sorry." I said
"What were you even doing there?"
"To cool myself down-"
"From what? My lecture? You seriously had to disappear for three hours just to cool down?" His anger boiled.
"I met my friend there and she gave me a haircut. That's why I took long." I spoke quickly.
He frowned and his eyes trailed downwards. "What happened to your shirt? Weren't you wearing a white one today?" I was surprised, I thought he hadn't been paying attention to me but he actually was.
"I dropped coffee onto it." I summarised my story.
He laughed dryly. "Of course you did."
Tears pricked my eyes. "Goodnight Sir." I was about to leave the room but he stopped me.
"Did you eat lunch?"
I was caught off guard. First he was shouting and mocking me but then he asked if I had lunch? Bipolar much?
"Yes." I lied, it probably didn't matter to him. I hadn't even eaten breakfast, and after that morning's conflict I lost my appetite.
"Don't lie to me." He warned. "Why didn't you eat?" He demanded.
"I wasn't feeling hungry." I answered simply.
"Did you even have breakfast?" I stayed silent. "Why aren't you taking care of yourself?" He scolded.
"Goodnight Sir." And I walked straight into my room.
