Chapter 27- Dreamer

(Ashleys POV)

2:30 in the morning. 2 fucking thirty, mum and Jeff are still bickering. I can hear them all the way from Michaels room. Luke is covering my ears up for fuck sakes and I still can only hear them yelling about how Jeff has to have a business meeting all the way in California for a week. He may miss my birthday, but it's pretty safe to say it's worth it for his job. I mean, his job's the only reason i'm having a party. Hell, it's the reason I moved to Australia.

I've had enough of this.

I walk down the stairs and see Jeff making a place for himself on the couch whilst still yelling at the top of his lungs to mum in the other room.

I slide past Jeff and step into their room. "We're trying to sleep you know." I say crossing my arms and staring sternly at her.

"Oh Ash, i'm sorry sweety go back to bed" She says holding her forhead in the palm of her hand.

"Can I? Can I really though? You guys have been at it for hours." I say sitting at the edge of her queen sized bed.

"Were done fighting, go to bed okay?" She takes some pills from her migrane medicine and swallows them down.

I say a quick okay and then shimmy my way out the door. Okay, maybe not shimmy but you get the idea.

"Mum no, i'm not leaving this is my home!" I yell at mum who was packing her bags.

"Ashley pack your bags or i'll pack them for you" She says not looking up from her long gaze at the suitcase.

"Why do you wait until I get happy to just ruin my life again?!" I yell at her running out the door.

I run up the stairs to Mikes room to see if their in there.

Nope. Shit.

I run in my room blindly, from the tears and slam the door. I slide my back down the door to lock everyone and everything out of my head. I rub my fingers over my face to stop the tears from falling but, fail miserably as they come down in bucket loads.

I try to calm down but, my mind takes over making me think of all the things i'll miss and all the things i've yet to do.

I hear a knock on the door and turn around to stand up. I put my hand on the door knob and ask who it is before opening it. "Baby? It's Luke"

I open the door fast and pull him in, hugging him tightly. He's the only person I wanted to see right now, all I wanted was for him to tell me that everything would be okay. That he would never let anyone take me away.

"Ashley, we need to pack your bags" He says making his way to my closet to get my suitcase.

I open my eyes wide in shock, if anyone tried to make me stay I would think it'd be Luke.

"What are you on about? I thought you would want me to stay?" He rolls his eyes continuing to shove all different types of my clothes in the suitcase.

"Wow, now I see where I stand in your life"

"I guess you do." He says sternly leaving the room.

I gasp when I feel a hand on my forhead. I shoot straight up feeling sweat all over my face. My eyes travel around the room i'm in, until I plaster my eyes on a figure moving around in a bed and I realize it's Michael switching his sleeping position.

"Ash, are you okay? I think you're running a fever" I hear Luke whisper in my ear.

"Yeah, i'll be right back" I say getting up, and wobbling to the bathroom.

Why was I sweating so much? I guess my fever had some effect to it. But man, did I have a migrane.

I tiptoe back to Michaels room and crawl in bed next to Luke immediatly getting wrapped in his warm embrace.

"Are you better?" He whispers to me.
"Yeah, but it's just weird to me that I have such a terrible migrane. I never have them, mum only does" I whisper back

"Did you have a scary dream or something?"

I shake my head thinking about it. "Nope not that I can remember"

He shrugs his shoulders and kisses my head. "Get some sleep baby. Good night, love you"

"Love you too" I say thinking if I had a dream or not. I know I did but, I just can't remember it. That's weird. I guess I shouldn't worry about it as much as I am, it's just I feel like it wasn't very good.
