Chapter 22- You're my best friend

(Ashleys POV)

"Ash will you pretty please go and get some more milk for supper?" My mum asks me from behind the fridge.

"Yeah sure mum"

The nearest shop isn't very far from here anyways. It would be good to go on a walk.

I throw on a pair of gloves, beanie and a jacket.

It's a good thing the dark doesn't scare me because it's pitch dark aside from a couple of street lights.

I put on some combat boots and head outside. A cold gust of wind hits my face hard. I love the cold weather so much, when it's cool I feel like i'm at my highest peak of beauty. I guess it's hard to explain.

I walk all the way down to the end of the street near Luke's house. His mum misses him loads, well at least that's why my mum said. I don't really talk to Liz, it's not like she doesn't like me it's just awkward around her.

I almost walk up to his house to see how Liz is doing when I feel a hand on my shoulder. I gasp and turn around to Ashton smiling wide.

"You gave me a heart attack!" I say slapping his arm playfully.

"Sorry" He says laughing "I was just about to go to your house, what are you doing here?"

"I'm getting some milk for my mum when I thought why not see how Liz is"

"Oh, would you like me to walk with you?" He asks me holding his arm out for me to latch my hand around.

"Yeah that would be nice" I say grabbing his arm.

We walk to the shop talking about nothing really. I grab the milk and some snacks for us all to purge on.

I make sure to get my favourite ice cream and some crisps.

I also get my favourite drink Arizona tea.

Ashton pays for everything like the gentlemen he is.

"Well aren't you kids just an adorable couple" The lady behind the counter says looking at Ashton and I.

"Oh, no we're only friends" I say laughing.

"I'm so sorry hun, me and my assumptions" She says and tells me the price.

We walk quite until I hear my bag ripping. I feel the bag get lighter under my fingers, I look at my drenched shoes and see my Arizona spilled all over me.

Ash picks the milk up, "I guess it was too much pressure for the bag"

We go by at near by trash can to shake my shoes off, he wipes them off with his sleeve.

"Thank you" I say pecking his cheek friendly.

We eventually make it home, I unfortunately had to walk home with Arizona Tea on my feet but, it wasn't as bad because I had combats on.

"Mum i'm back" I yell putting the milk in the fridge.

I grab a Pepsi and run up the stairs to Mikes room.

The boys are all on their phones, Luke is singing along with Calum. They have amazing voices, truly.

"Hey babe, whatcha doing?" I ask falling on Luke's bed next to him.

"Just on Twitter talking to some fans." He says typing away.

"Can I tweet someone?"

He nods and hands me his phone.

Instead of tweeting someone though, I go through the tweets and click on a person with a sweet message for him and I follow them.

I did this to about ten people before Luke took his phone back.
