Chapter 18- Tomorrow

(Ashleys POV)

"Emma Thorton?" Luke stutters shocked. "Yeah that's what it is! How'd you know?" I ask him more confused than ever. "I just um guessed.." He says trying to hide his tracks. "Luke are you not telling me something I need to know?" I ask him agitated. "No i'm not. Really! I need to go but I love you bye!" He says hanging up before I can say anything.

There is something seriously wrong with that boy.

(Lukes POV)

"Mike.. I need to speak with you" I say pulling Michael away from Lou. "What's up man, she's trying to do my hair!" He says messing with his fringe. I see Lou throw her hands up in the air and sit Calum down in the chair.

"Dude, Emma is back" I say holding his shoulders. "Fuck man. How do you know?" He says rolling his eyes. "Ashley just told me. That's not all though" I say plastering a worried look on my face. "What?" He asks me in a whiny tone. "She's living across the street". Michael rubs his temples in anger.

He hasn't spoken to Emma in a year or so now. She isn't what you would call a nice girl, she'd turn on you in a heartbeat which is basically what she did with Mike. You see, Mikey had a major crush on this girl, Sophie. And Emma was suppose to be his wingman I guess. Instead, of having his back Emma told Sophie to basically stop having interactions with Mike because she claimed they were dating.

This tore him up for so long, because he really did trust this girl. She moved a couple of months after that and he hasn't talked with her since. As for Sophie, she still lives in Sydney but, after we left school we all left in touch with her.

Michael's a sensitive guy believe it or not and to have your emotions and feelings get played around like that really made him have trust issues and lack of confidence in people. Ashley is the only person he's met since then and trusted with his life.

He hasn't spoken about it ever since then, not even to Ash or Cal. Calum knows that she's bad news but, he doesn't know the full story and luckily never really asked.

(Ashleys POV)

"Luke we've been trying to reach you ever since you texted me earlier what is the exciting news?" I ask Luke referring to a text I received from him earlier saying 'Babe I got some exciting news for you!'

I hear in his voice that he goes from happy to extremely happy. "All of us boys and One Direction are going to drum roll please" He says and stops mid sentence. "Luke come fucking on" I say anxious to know. "We're all coming back to Australia tomorrow! But there's more!" He says the last part in a weird american accent. I jump up and down with excitement I'll have my baby and my best friends home again. "What else?" I ask smiling like mad. "One Direction will be staying in a hotel two minutes drive from there!" He says.

I squeal with pure happiness. "Yay! I've been missing you guys like crazy." He sighs, "Oh gosh, I know. It feels like its been forever." He says. I yawn, "Okay, i'm going to get some rest. I love you so much babe nanite!" I say and make a kissing noise. "Alright baby sweet dreams. I'll see you before you know it." He says and returns the kissing noise.

I hang up my phone and smile to myself hugging my phone. I run down stairs to tell my mum the news but see Emma in the dining room with her.

"Mum, what's wrong?" I ask her while she's holding a crying Emma's hand. "Oh sweety. Emma's mother is in the hospital, she'll be staying with us within the next couple of days." She says kissing her on the top of the head.

"Alright, Emma do you want me to show you to the guest bedroom?" I ask her going up to her and hugging her. "Yes that would be lovely. I think I need some rest" She says wiping her tears away.

I grab her suitcase and she follows me up the stairs to the room next to mine. It was a white room with a black duvet. The curtains for the windows were black silk. It is a nice bedroom, very welcoming.

"Thanks.. Ashley, right?" Emma asks me. I nod in agreement. "Have a good night sleep, I'll check up with you tomorrow" I say waving good bye for her to settle in.

I walk down the stairs to mum and Jeff's room to tell her about Jeff and the boys coming home. When I walk in she runs up to me and hugs me tightly.

"Mom, what are you doing?" I ask her. She looked at me with tears coming out of her eyes but, a big smile on her face. "I'm guessing Jeff told you?" I ask laughing and wipe the tears from her face. "I just got off the phone with him" She says jumping up and down.

"Mum i haven't seen you this happy since we came down here" I say laughing along with her. "Honey, let me tell you something" She sits me on her bed and holds my hand. "When Jeff left, I was torn to pieces. He's my love, I miss him like mad and I can't wait another minute to be in his arms again" She says looking up at the ceiling thinking about her love.

"Yeah I know the feeling" I say and kiss her head leaving the room. I jetted out of there fast so I didn't get a lecture about how i'm too young to be in love, or how I don't know what love is, I just think I am.
