Paige's POV

I'm literally so sick of my parents fighting, I've just felt so alone right now. No friends, no parents. It kinda sucks.

"Sweetie, can we talk?" My mom broke my train of thought.

"Yea sure." I say flatly.

Me, my mom, and my dad gathered at the dinning room table for what seemed to be a nice family dinner. "Since you're too young to live on your own, we need to make a schedule of where you're going and when." My mom says.

"I thought that was for the judge to decide?" I scoop some potatoes onto my plate.

"But you can have your say too."

"I don't want a say! I love you both too much to choose one over the other!" I slam my fist on the table, "I just want you both to stay together, we were all so happy. We went on family trips, watched movies until two in the morning. I just want us to be happy again."

"Sweetie." My mom says.

"Just stop, nothing is going to make this better." I stand up from the table and go to my room, so much for a nice family dinner.

I sit on my bed and cry, like anyone would do if their parents were getting divorced.

"Can I come in?" I hear my dad say.

"I don't care." I wipe away the tears.

"I'm sorry about all of this." He says standing in front of me.

"I don't want to choose daddy."

"I know you don't, I know it's hard. It's hard to stand here and watch my family tear apart when I can't do anything about it."

"You can, just be happier. I don't know what the hell you guys are doing but it's not working, turn things around."

"It's not that easy, if it were I would make things better."

"I just want to stay here, in my bedroom, you guys together, happy, my friends back, back to when everything was normal." I look out my window.

"I'm not trying to win you over, but Miranda's dad, Chris', boss did offer me a job. I'd be working in Los Angeles."

"I can't dad, I mean I would love to move closer to my friends, but mom."

"You'd come visit. I promise. I would never take you away from her."

"I can't do this dad!" I say a bit louder than anticipated.

"Ok, I'll leave you to decide, I still haven't taken the job. Goodnight, Paige."

*phone call*

"Hey gorgeous." Jack says from the other line.

"Hey, I meant to call Miranda." I slightly laugh.

"You have the right number, her phone was just in the living room and she's napping. She's had a rough day."

"I know, I talked to her earlier."

"You sound like you've been crying, everything ok?"

"My parents." Is all I manage to say.

"I can't imagine how hard this is for you."

"My dad just told me he isn't trying to win me over but I guess your dad's boss offered my dad a job in LA."

"Well that's great!" Jack chirps.

"No it's not, I can't leave my mom on the other side of the country."

"True. I wish there was something I could do."

"Me too, Jack, me too."

"I miss you and can't wait to see you though." Jack says.

"Can't your dad start vacation earlier? I really need you and Miranda."

"Only like 10 more days."

"That's too long." I laugh.

"I thought I was the cheesy one."
