Miranda's POV
After receiving the good news, again, me and Paige headed upstairs to my hotel room.
"Where'd you go today?" She asks.
"To the gym, that reminds me."
"What?" She asks.
"I saw Nash today."
"Yea so? The douche isn't much to talk about." She shrugs her shoulders.
"His dad married my mom." I whisper.
"You're kidding?"
"No." I rub my hands over my face.
"Miranda, I-I don't know what to say."
"I didn't either. It's ok."
Paige leans over and hugs me tightly. She's the only person I can actually rely on right now, other than my dad and brother.
"Let's try and find a movie." Paige smiles.
"Sure."
Paige starts scrolling through the movie channels, "hey, hey! Look it's The Boss!" She smiles.
"Can we not?" I laugh.
"Come on! I've waited so long to see this movie!" She whines.
"Fine, I'll just be reminded of my dick sucking sister." I laugh.
She clicks on the channel and we start watching the movie.
"When the previews come on we should go get some popcorn from downstairs." Paige says.
"Good timing." The previews start and we leave the room in our socks.
When we get downstairs we walk over to the snack bar, my dad is awesome he paid to get us free snacks whenever we want. "Grab two bags, there's two microwaves so that's even better." I laugh.
"Hi, I'm looking for a Miranda Nadeau, is there anyway you'd be able to help me?" I hear someone ask the clerk at the front desk.
"No but there is a Chris Nadeau here, with two rooms booked for the week." The clerk says.
"Miranda?" Paige whispers.
"Come over here." We hide behind a wall, trying to get a clear view of the women.
"Is that...?" Paige starts.
"Yea, that's her." I finish, "I'm calling my dad." I pull out my phone.
*phone call*
"Hello sweetie, where are you it's kind of late." My dad says.
"I'm down in the lobby, mom is here?" I say as quietly as possible.
"Why?" He asks.
"I don't know, but she asked for me and the clerk just told her our room numbers."
"Stay down there, see if Dave can pick you up. I don't want you around her." My dad hangs up.
"Call your dad, see if he can pick us up." I say handing my phone to Paige.
Paige calls her dad and we wait outside.
"Miranda?" I hear someone ask.
"Go away." I don't bother looking.
"You weren't in your room." She says.
"Because I was down here and didn't want to see you."
"I need to talk to you, can your friend give us a minute?"
"Hell no, I'm not leaving her." Paige grabs my arm.
"Fine than whatever I have to say can be said in front of you too, I guess."
"Jessica, you should just leave. You're not making anything better." Paige says.
"That's what I want to try and do."
"I'm so sick of people messing my life up and thinking they can just walk back into my life and make it all better, just like that. I'm done!" Miranda yells.
A car pulls up to the curb and I see its Paige's dad, "we have to go." Paige says.
"Miranda, sweetie." My so called mother grabs my arm.
"Don't fucking touch me, don't fucking talk to me, ever again." I say through gritted teeth before climbing into the car.
