Miranda's POV
My dad came to pick me up at Paige's place, I say see you later to Paige and hop in the car.
My phone starts to ring as we get closer to the hotel. The number looked familiar so I answer it.
"Hello?" I say more as a question then a statement.
"Hey it's me Nash, I-"
"What do you want? How did you even get my number?" I ask confused.
"I know my ways, can you just hear me out?"
"Okay." I sigh.
"I know you hate your mom, that she treated you like hell, but please can you just talk to her?" Nash asks nicely.
"Why do you want me to talk to her so bad?"
"Because she's changed, she's doing so much better! A little while after you left she met my dad and he helped her with her addiction, she goes to AA meetings once a week, she has a great job-" I cut him off.
"Nash you know I don't want anything to do with her. I know you want us to work things out but it's not up to you to make that happen, she has to make the first move and apologize for a life time of hurt." I explain getting into the elevator.
"She tried last night! You should have seen how hurt she was, when she got home I asked her how it went and she broke down in tears. Don't you see she's trying?" My heart sank when he said those words.
I step out of the elevator, "Okay, tell her I'll meet her for coffee at The Coffee House for seven thirty."
"I think she'll be happy to hear you've changed your mind."
"I changed my mind to talk to her but that doesn't mean I'll ever have a healthy relationship with her." I say walking into my room.
"I think she's gonna be ecstatic just to know you decided to talk to her." I can hear the happiness in Nash's voice.
"I have to go just tell her what I told you okay?"
"Okay." I hang up and just lay on the bed taking in the whole conversation.
