Paige's POV
The party came to an end and it was finally time to leave for the west coast.
Miranda ended up staying the night, when morning came we both got ready in a comfortable outfit ready for the road trip. We grabbed all my suitcases and waited outside on the porch with my mom, for Chris and the rest of the crowd.
I was excited but yet a little sad to be leaving the town and state where I grew up, I rarely ever leave town so moving to California is something huge.
"Paige, it'll be fine! You can call and text.. Or stay with me and never leave.." My mom said, she mumbled the last part.
"I know that mom.. It's just you know how moving to a new state is, you moved from Virginia to here just for dad!" I say moving hair out of my face.
"I did, I remember that day like it was yesterday. That's just one moment I'll never forget." She lets out a little nervous laugh. The conversation continued until the big van came around the street corner.
"I love you mom." I hugged her tightly and let the tears roll down my cheeks.
"I love you too." She smiled wiping the tears from her own cheeks.
I wrapped my arms around her once more as Miranda took my bags to the van.
After a few minutes I heard Jack call, "I don't mean to break this up but we have to leave now."
"Coming." I smiled.
"Have fun." My mom smiled and kissed me on the cheek.
I climbed into the back of the van with Miranda. "Since you're sitting with her in the van I call her on the plane." Jack laughed closing the door.
"She's mine." Miranda eyed Jack.
"Guys! There's enough of me to share, plus I can always sit in the middle." I laughed.
"West Coast here we come." Miranda's dad shouted starting the engine.
As we were quickly driving on the freeway to get to our flight, I saw from afar a delivery truck losing control and it began to slid across the freeway coming our way.
"Watch out!" I yell, causing us to fall into a ditch whilst the truck rammed the back of the van.
The van must have flipped a few time, I'm not sure but I'm freaking out. I could tell the van was flipped on its side. "Miranda?" I said, no answer.. "Miranda!" I started yelling. I looked over to her and she had blood dripping out of her nose.
"This can't be happening." I panicked. "Jack?" I chocked on the words.
I could hear the sirens in the distance.
I climbed over to the middle of the van to try and open the door. As I put my hands on the handle I felt a pain in my arm, fuck I don't need a broken arm right now.
I cranked the door open and got out and sat on the grass crying. For all I know everyone in that car is dead.
