Cassandra's POV.
"I need ammunition." Juan Jose snapped at three men. I simply sat back silently as I heard them mumble among themselves, not necessarily obeying him as they once did. I rolled my eyes at this nicker and got up, grabbing my black leather jacket and a pack before stomping by them deliberately.
"Do I have to fucking do everything myself?" I shouted loudly, making them shut up and stare after me as I opened the door, marched out, then slammed it behind me.
"Idiots. I mumbled as I quickly but my jacket on when a rush of cold air greeted me. I shook my head as I began my long walk to Den Ave. where we always got our ammunition and goods. A guy named Sam sold them to us for a decent price we can't find anywhere else. A nice fella at that as well.
The walk isn't necessarily far if it wasn't for the bloody detour us ahead the street I needed to take. Now, I had to walk three blocks towards the shops in order to get onto Den Ave. 30 minute walk if you will. But why won't I take a car? My license is suspended for speeding without a seatbelt on. Dumb, I know.
I mumbled a couple profanities under my breath as I jumped off the curb towards the street towards the local shops. A good amount of people were already out and about considering it was 10am. London is a busy city this time a year, good or bad? I wouldn't know. Whenever I usually go out would be at night for our tasks. I never really ever go out at all. A pity really but honestly, what would I do? Its not as if I have girlfriends to call up and have a cup of tea or a decent chat at a diner. Psh, as if.
Who would want to hang around with a girl who carries a gun in her jeans and a knife in her boot? For hell I wouldn't.
I let out a frustrated breath as all these ridiculous things ran laps in my head, making it pound slightly. So much, I didn't notice that lad from last night point me out in the middle of the streets. Shit.
Harry's Pov.
It was a well decent day this Sunday morning in London. Usually it would be cloudy and gloom all day with some random showers but not today surprisingly. It was sunny with a few stray clouds here and there, to nice of a day to be cooped up in this damn hotel room.
I looked to my left to see Lou in the phone, a genuine smile on his face as he chuckled into the receiver. I waved my hand at him to get his attention which I got in the next second. I pointed out to the window to indicate I was going out. He nodded and pointed to the phone as if to say 'hold on, I'll join you just gimme a minute'. I nodded and smiled, getting up off the couch to grab my jacket. It's been unusually chilly this summer in London. I was still very wry from last night, my nerves racking my head, that I seriously just needed a distraction.
"alright mum, I'll call you tonight so you can tell me how it went, love you." He ended the call with a small laugh and a shake of his head. It was a nice sight seeing my best mate genuinley happy nowadays. I guess you could say he was sorta a mess after the break-up but now he's top notch.
Then again, talking to our families after not seeing them in a long, long time is always the best way to put an automatic smile on our face. Best thing ever.
"so, what's up?" he yawned, streching his arms over his head as his mouth opened why to reveal his morning breath. Lovely.
"gah. Brush your teeth so we can get some brunch." I said whilst my nose scrunched up. He rolled his eyes and nodded, obeying my request and walked to the toilet. 15 minutes later, with warming jumpers on, we were wandering the streets in search for a decent place to have our brunch. As many perople there was this morning, not one reconized us surprisingly. Wicked.
It wasn't until I looked to my left that I froze completely and literally. I froze solid in my steps and stared at her as she rushed across the street. Her black hair whipped her face and she looked very, very annoyed. She pushed her hair away, clearly frustrated with it. I darted my eyes around to see if any other of the men from last night was with her but luckily they weren't.
"So I thought it would be best if I cracked a joke to- woah, mate. You alright? You look like you've just seen a ghost!" I heard Louis exclaim a few steps in front of me. He just realized at the nick of time that I had stopped walking along side of him. He rushed back to me and gave me this sort of look.
"you alright Harry?" he asked worriedly, touching my shoulder lightly.
I tried to say something but it came out in this horrid whisper. I honestly couldn't feel my legs, only this buzzing sensation that you feel when your limbs go numb. That's all that I felt as I continued watching her.
Second long flashbacks of last night raced before my eyes as my breath picked up the pace and got heavy. I was absoulutely terrified.
"HARRY," Louis cried out, freaking out now as I started to wheeze. "Are you having some sort of asthma attack?!"
"n-n-no," I choked out, my head spinning slowly if that made any sense. I swallowed repeatedly, trying to get rid of the enormous lump that rapidly formed in my throat in a matter of miliseconds. Was I going barmy?
"what is it then? Harry, your freaking me out." Louis' eyes widened as he shook his head slow like. His blue-green eyes were wide with worry, if it were another time I'd probably laugh at how he looked but this was clearly no time for laughing. I was just a mere few feet away from the girl I witness shoot a man straight in the head right in front of me. That's not a normal everyday thing.
To make matters worse, one of her 'goones' followed me after I took off, threatening me to stay quiet about the whole thing "or else". I was obviously wise enough to keep my trap shut. I wasn't even 100% clear with myself that I even really truly saw that unfolded right in front of me. it seemed like a complete joke.
"Harry." Louis repeated sternly, shaking my shoulder slightly. I swallowed one last time and lifted my arm up, index finger streched, and pointed to the dark-haired girl in the black leather jacket across the street, Louis following my hand.
If I only knew what would come next..
