Tegan's P.O.V
April 2015

~~~
"Good morning, Tegan." Perrie whispered softly, shaking me gently. I groaned and peeked open my eyes. "It's time to get up."
"Okay," I grumbled, sitting up in bed.
"Get ready, breakfast is downstairs." She told me, walking to my door.
Today is my first day of school. I went to my closet and picked out a white sweater, floral pants, and my red converse. I quickly changed my clothes, then went to the bathroom. I brushed my hair, deciding to do nothing with it. I got my new glasses out of the case. I have no energy to put makeup on, I'm not about that contour life. After wearing so much concert makeup, I want to feel free. Who cares about first impressions, anyways? Actually a lot of people.
I went to the kitchen. On the kitchen table sat a plate for me. No one else was in the kitchen. I sighed, and walked to the table. I ate my food, quickly, just because I was so lonely. It was pretty quiet here usually. Zayn was still a busy person, and Perrie had Little Mix, of course. Zayn took my phone a couple days ago because he was "going to get me a new one". I really don't know what's going on there.
I went back up to my bathroom, and brushed my teeth. Then I went to my bedroom, and got on my laptop at my desk.
I logged onto my Twitter, and scrolled through my mentions. Most of them were hate still, but I ignored them, and shut the lid.
"Tegan, it's time to go!" Zayn called.
"Okay!" I yelled back, getting up. I grabbed my backpack off my window seat, and met Zayn in the foyer.
"You ready?" Zayn asked. I nodded.
We went out to the garage. Both of us got in his Bentley, and we drove to my new school.
"You excited?" Zayn asked, parking the car in the parking lot.
"Yeah!" I faked enthusiasm.
"I know it's already really late in the year, but I want you to be able to be a normal kid." Zayn explained.
"Yeah, I understand. I like school anyways." I shrugged. That wasn't a lie though, I really loved school at ASP.
We walked up to the building, and easily found the office. Zayn talked to the lady at the desk, and they gave me my schedule.
"I'm going to get going. Have a good day, I'll be here after school." Zayn told me, pressing a kiss against my forehead.
"Okay, bye." I responded, not really looking up from my schedule. Zayn walked out of the office, and I watched him.
"Tegan, this is Jade, she'll show you around." The lady who gave me my schedule told me.
"Okay," I nodded.
A really skinny girl with elbow length black hair, and tan skin came into the office.
"Hi, Tegan. I'm Jade." The girl told me.
"Hi," I responded.
"You ready?" Jade asked. I nodded.
We walked out of the office. I gave Jade my schedule, and she started to show me to my first class.
"This is Ms. Houseman, she's an English teacher. I don't have her, but some people say she's mean." Jade informed me, as we stood outside the classroom. I nodded, showing I understood. "Next you have art, which is down here."
Jade ran me through my whole schedule, also showing me the library, bathrooms, and cafeteria.
"I have first lunch. If you do, too you can sit with me and my friends." Jade offered.
"Thanks, that's really nice of you." I smiled.
"No problem,"
She showed me my locker. By the time she finished showing me everything it was second hour. I headed to my second hour, and she headed off to hers. The class was about five minutes in. I walked into the classroom. All the students were seated, and the teacher was at the front of the room.
"Hello, you must be Tegan." The man noticed me walk in.
"That's me!" I tried to sound light, and enthusiastic.
"Welcome, Tegan. Would you like to tell the class something about yourself?" So he's one of those teachers.
"I like food." I stated. Some of the kids laughed, and other murmured "same".
"We don't have a seating arrangement, so sit where you'd like." He told me. I nodded.
The first seat I saw was a seat in the back of the class, so I walked straight there. It was weird to walk all the way to the back of the class while everyone stared at me. I pulled out the empty chair and sat down at the table. I looked up at the girl who sat across from me, and grinned. She grinned back, but turned towards the teacher.
The whole class period was over some lecture about lines. I wasn't really interested in an art class. I was actually really disappointed to even see art on my schedule. I didn't have much of a choice coming three quarters into the year.
The rest of the day went by slowly. I didn't really talk to anyone. Before every class started, I found the teacher and introduced myself, they gave me a seat, and that's where I sat. I didn't try to engage any conversations, and no one tried to engage any conversations with me. Being a new kid isn't like how it is in the movies, no one comes up to you and goes, "oh my god! you're the new girl!" That's just another myth about high school.
Whoa, wow.
I just realized I'm in high school. I'm in a real high school for the first time. I've spent almost all of my freshman year in a spotlight. I don't even know how to be a normal teenager. I don't even know how to live a normal life.
