"I'm going to stay with my grandparents in America. I'm so excited!" One of my classmates exclaimed.

"You're so lucky! I want to go to America!" Another girl said.

"I have to stay with my grandparents, but they don't live in America." Jade sighed.

"What are you doing this summer, Tegan?" Amanda asked me.

We were sitting at lunch, on the last day of school, just discussing our plans for summer.

"Um," I started, picking at my sandwich.

"Probably going on tour!" Jade laughed. The other girls laughed, too. I just forced a smile.

"I'm going to Thailand." I answered.

"Wow! Are you going to see the floating lanterns?" Amanda asked.

"You're going to meet so many cute boys!" This girl I never bothered to learn her name exclaimed.

"Take pictures for me!" Jade smiled at me.

Jade had been really nice to me. I liked her, but she probably didn't think I did. I didn't really talk that often, unless someone engaged the conversation with me. Most of the time I just tuned them out. Sometimes I would crack a joke and they would all laugh, but besides that I was just quiet. I didn't really feel myself here. I missed all my old friends. Skipper, Allie, Stacy, Nathan.

Romeo. Another ghost of my past. We used to do everything together. From when we woke up to going to sleep. I don't think anyone could ever replace him.

"Yeah, I will." I finally answered, smiling at her.

The lunch bell rang, and we split our separate ways to our next classes. The rest of the day went by quickly, since it was the last, and I was already done with all my finals.

I walked out of the back of the school building, searching for Zayn's car. I saw it parked at the end of the parking lot. I walked all the way down there, kicking a rock between my feet. When I got to the car, I pulled the passenger door open.

"Woo Hoo! Summer!" Zayn exclaimed, as I sat down, setting my backpack in the floor board.

"I think that was the longest nine weeks of my life." I sighed, dramatically. Zayn chuckled.

"When are you gonna get back in the recording studio?" Zayn asked.

"Hm, I don't really know." I shrugged. "I haven't had any inspiration to write a song."

"Ahh," Zayn nodded, staring at the road. "I bet something will come along."

"Probably," I agreed, leaning my head against the window.

Zayn parked the car in our garage, I noticed Perrie's car was gone. We both got out of the vehicle, and went into the house. I immediately went to the kitchen, and opened the cabinet.

"Hungry?" Zayn asked.

"Yes," I answered.

"Want to order takeout, and watch movies?" Zayn offered.
