Today, Zayn was taking me to the recording studio. I had been working on my song, and I had finally finished it. I was really excited.

If I work hard and record it today, it can be available next week.

"The boys have a new song, have you heard?" Zayn asked me, pulling out of the driveway.

"No, is it good?" I asked.

"Really good actually. It's different." Zayn answered.

"I'll listen to it when I get home." I planned.

I unlocked my phone, and got on Twitter.

Just never grow up," I sang the last verse into the microphone. I was really proud of this song, I loved it a lot. I opened my eyes. Behind the glass was the guy who works here, and Zayn. I gave them a thumbs up, and took my headphones off.

"Girl you sounded great!" Kash, the guy that worked here. "Give me some skin!"

I gave him a high five and smiled.

"Thanks, Kash!" I said.

"I'll put it all together for you, and you come back in a couple days and it will be ready, okay?"

"Okay. Thank you, Kash. You're the best!" I said.

"I know," he chuckled.

"You ready, Zayn?" I asked him.

"Yeah," he said, quietly. He had been quiet the whole time I was recording.

What was up with him?

We walked out to his car, silently. He got in the driver's seat, and I sat in the passenger.

"What's wrong?" I asked, as he started the car.

"Your song just wasn't what I expected." Zayn shrugged.

"What do you mean?"

"What did you write about, Liam's son?" Zayn asked.

"That was my inspiration, but once I got to writing, I just wanted to make something with meaning, and feeling. A song for all the little kids that are wishing to grow up." I explained.

"You did good."

We drove the rest of the way home silently.

I had seen Kash today, and my single was finally finished. Today it was put on Spotify for everyone to listen to. I was really proud with how it turned out. I think people are really gonna like it!

My phone started ringing in my hands. Liam's contact was flashing my screen along with a picture of us. I smiled as I slid across to answer the call.

"Hi, Liam!" I greeted, enthusiastically.

"Your song, T!" Liam exclaimed.

"What about it?" I tried to bite back my smile.

"I liked it a lot. Penny and I listened to it together, and we were like, 'wow, that's our little Tegan, she really is growing up.'" Liam replied, I chuckled.

"I don't really think I want to though. I just want to be young for forever." I admitted.

"Now you sound like Louis." Liam laughed. I laughed, too. "Oh, yeah, next week are the American Music Awards. Penny is going to be trying to rest, and adjusting Dylan to our house. Be my date?"

"I'll have to talk to Zayn," I started to say.

"Already one step ahead of ya! If you want to come, I'll buy your plane ticket." Liam told me.

"Of course I'd like to come! I won't be able to meet Dylan, will I though?" I frowned.

"Beg Penny to stay around and maybe." Liam teased.

"Oh, I most definitely will beg her!" I laughed.

"I know you will. She'll probably give in as well."

"Probably," I agreed. "Oh, yeah! Great job on the new single. I love it!"

"Thank you! It's not the same without Zayn, but I'm really proud of ourselves."

"You guys did really well. I'm proud of you guys, too." I told him, truthfully.

"Alright, well, I have to go to sound check. I'll talk to you later. I love you." Liam said.

"I love you, Liam. Bye." I said, then the phone hung up.

I get to go to the music awards with Liam and the rest of the boys? Awesome!
