Chapter 9

"So, what took you guys so long? And... your hair looks wet." Luke asked suspiciously.

"Uh, we were just taking a walk and we tripped and fell in mud so we washed off in a large pond." Finn lied. He didn't want to tell them about what he and Rey did in the pond. He wasn't quite sure how Luke would react to their relationship. Luke said that a Jedi wasn't supposed to have special connections like that.

"And why are you carrying Rey like a bride?" Luke asked.

"Uh... her feet hurt so I carried her all the way back here." Finn said nervously while setting Rey down.

"Alright, would you two like some breakfast?" Leia asked the two lovebirds.

"No thanks. I'm not that hungry." Rey replied while walking towards the tent she slept in.

"I'm not that hungry either, but thanks for the offer." Finn answered and followed Rey into the tent.

6 hours later

Luke and Chewy sat on the ground using the force and lightsabers to cut firewood open for a fire while Leia sat across from them. Meanwhile, Finn and Rey were on a evening walk in the forest.

"Leia, I have a strange feeling." Luke told his sister.

"What feeling?" Leia asked him.

"Like Finn and Rey have this connection that they're trying to hide from us. I felt something strange earlier. It felt like two people were just in love with each other. I wouldn't have felt it if Rey wasn't a Jedi." Luke told her.

"Luke, what your feeling is real. Rey and Finn are crazy in love with each other. Haven't you seen the way they look at each other? Remember, back on the falcon, when Rey was sitting on his lap and his arms were around
her? They love each other." Leia said smiling.

"I know, but a Jedi isn't supposed to have connections." Luke said impatiently.

"Luke, Rey loves Finn so much and Finn loves Rey so much. Rey would be heartbroken if she had to break up with Finn because of one Jedi rule. Just let this one pass. Be happy for them. I'm happy for them and I'm also proud of Rey for being open to people like that." Leia said getting up and walking away leaving Luke to think about what his sister just said to him.

Rey squeezed Finn's hand lightly making him blush.

"I know you're blushing." Rey said smiling.

Finn blushed even more. He took both of her hands in his making her stop to face him.

"What is it?" Rey asked him.

"I took you out here to have some much needed alone time with you tonight. You are so amazing, beautiful, stubborn, funny, and adorable. I love you so much and I will never hurt or leave you. Thank you for being such an amazing girlfriend." Finn said making her tear up a little.

"Finn, that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. I love you so much too." Rey said pressing her lips to his. She put her arms around his neck while he rested his hands on her hips.
