ten. Make Ups & Break Ups

I don't know how I'm going to write this chapter because it's going to have lots of awkward couple moments and I don't know how to write that. Good luck enjoying (Also Year 12 would have been Season 2).

Before everyone came out of the Sibuna meeting, Joy and Jerome had just gotten Dan out of the living room.

"So?" Jerome asked, wondering what Joy wanted. She paused for a moment, unsure of what had actually happened between them, "Joy?"

"Um..." She wondered what she could say, "Why are you... a-avoiding me?"

That was all she could think of to say. They both heard one of boys' room doors open, Alfie and Patricia walking out.

"I'm not"

She stuttered as she thought of what to say next, panicking on the inside, but only showing it slightly on the outside, "Y-you haven't spoken to me for weeks"

"You've been to busy to notice me," he declared, "Busy worrying about Arabella 'stealing' your friends. Wonder where I've heard that one before"

"Y-you could've told me that I w-"

"I've tried and, like I said, too busy to notice" He was standing up now, but still speaking calmly. It was the kind of calm voice where you can tell someone's angry, but it's easy to see they're doing it to purposely aggravate you by not saying anything about it. They then heard two doors opening and closing; Patricia and Dan leaving, and KT and Eddie walking into the hallway.

"Are you not going to say anything?" He questioned when she didn't speak.

"I don't know what I can say," she finally spoke, her voice quiet.

"How about sorry?" He had raised the volume of the conversation quite substantially.

"I have nothing to apologise for," she finally raised her own voice for the first time in their conversation.

"Don't you? Joy, you barely even spoke to me before all this!"

"And what is 'this'? Me losing my best friend? You should've been there for me. You're supposed to be my boyfriend!" They were really shouting by this point.

"Am I?!" He said finally before Joy stopped, sorrow sweeping over her anger-filled face briefly before she stormed out of the room, stomping past Arabella, KT and Eddie.

Arabella smiled when she was halfway up the stairs, before taking another look at Eddie's worried face and walking out of the front door.

"Did he just break up with her?" KT asked Eddie, clearly confused after only hearing part of the conversation.

"I don't know" he replied, staring at the door.

"It was a pretty quick break up argument, don't you think?"

"Yeah," he agreed absentmindedly.

Amber hadn't taken notice of anything that was going on in the living room. She could hear it, but she had been concentrating too hard on listening to Fabian and Nina through the door, which she still had her ear pressed up against. She then squealed and started jumping up and down, just as Jerome left the living room with all of his things.

He stopped and stared at her sadly, but somehow still looking confused and angry.

"What?" She asked and he just looked away and kept walking through to his own room.

"What?" She asked again, not having any idea what she'd done wrong. This time she was looking at Eddie and KT, who were still stood in the same place watching everything that was going on. When they didn't reply, she sighed and shook it off and walked upstairs with a huge smile on her face.
