eight. Explanation

"Why are we here? I am seriously busy trying to find a recipe for the ultimate triple chocolate fudge cake on the Internet at the moment and you are holding up my research!"

"Alfie, this is important," Nina sighed in response to Alfie's stupid comment. Her and Fabian had called a Sibuna meeting in the evening at quite short notice after having found the book earlier that day. Since then, they had been together reading through the book and trying to find out more information on 'The Awakening' and 'The Sacrifice'. Everyone who had ever been an official member was there - Nina, Fabian, Eddie, KT, Amber, Patricia and Alfie.

"We found a thing in the cellar," Fabian began to explain.

"A thing? Wow!" Amber exclaimed sarcastically.

"Very descriptive. Well done Fabian, I'm proud of you!" KT pitched in.

"I love things. Things are great," Patricia joined them and they all laughed softly.

"Hey, hey, hey guys, guys," Fabian joined their laughing but then went back to being serious, "Shut up"

"What is the thing?" Eddie asked.

"A book," Nina replied, "I found it in Frobisher's study"

"Yeah, it's a study. There are quite a few books down there," Patricia spoke sarcastically again.

"Seriously now stop it," Fabian was getting quite annoyed now as the others weren't letting him and Nina tell their story, "The antechamber opened without the code being put in and then it opened to this page." He put the book open to the page that spoke about 'the Sacrifice' in front of him. Everyone gathered around closer to look over at the book.

"What is it?" Eddie asked curiously.

"The book itself is called 'The Awakening'," Nina answered his question, "It was written by Louisa Frobisher Smythe"

"Sarah's mother," Alfie interrupted.

"Exactly," She continued to speak, "That's one of the reasons we feel like we're getting ourselves into a new mystery"

"One of the reasons?" KT asked, wondering what the other reasons were.

"Well," Fabian began, "The book talks about the Awakening, like the title says. It's a ceremony that summons an Eqyptian god or goddess. Only thing is, the book's quite vague. It doesn't tell us all the details. We don't know how the ceremony works or what God it will summon. They could be good or they could be evil"

"Knowing our luck I'm gonna go with evil," Patricia added, being pessimistic.

"Is there anything we actually do know?" Alfie questioned, realising that they were in a similar position as they had been when starting out previous Sibuna mysteries.

"We know that the Chosen One and Osirion both have to be present for the Awakening to work. It also says something about the Sacrifice and the Lion," Nina spoke and looked around at her friends confused faces, and at Eddie whose face fell slightly when the Osirion was mentioned, "Okay we don't know what that means yet, but we are working on it"

Fabian interrupted her then, "We think there might be something about both of them in the book, but we haven't had enough time to find out yet. We thought it would be best to let you guys know before we tried to get any further with the research"

"Better get started then," Eddie spoke up finally.

"Okay," Nina began, "So if you tw-"

"-N-no, I didn't mean me"

I have finally uploaded. Sorry it's been so long, I don't even remember when the last time I updated was. This was such a short chapter, especially considering the length of time it took to update, and I really am sorry about that. I was originally planning on writing more here, but I just needed to get something out. I'm not going to explain why I took so long because normally it annoys me personally when others explain and go on for ages (I kind of did that already). Time for questions:
