Alaria's POV

The sound of curtains being opened woke me. "Good morning, Ms. Mae!" Ah. One of Kyoya's servants.

Oh, God. Just thinking about what happened between the two of us yesterday had me fighting a blush!

I sat up a little and fixed my hair. "Good morning." I replied. The female smiled and left the room. I stood and grabbed a blue plaid shirt and some gray jeans; why not try something new? I pulled on some black boots to go along with the outfit.

The stairs seemed a bit longer than they were the day before, but I made it down all the same. I marched into the dining room and ran straight into Kyoya.

Kyoya stumbled backwards and I almost fell, but Kyoya caught me. He held me to his chest, panting a little. "Well, good morning to you, too." He mumbled in my ear. I shivered and backed away, a blush dusted on my pale cheeks. "G-Good morning, K-Kyoya. I'm sorry!" I apologized, looking at the floor. Kyoya waved a dismissive hand at me with a chuckle. "No problem, Lari! No one was hurt."

We sat down at the table and breakfast was served; toast, bacon, and eggs.

As soon as we finished our breakfast, Kyoya and I headed out to the limo.

"Lari?"

I jumped at the sound of his voice. He broke the uncomfortable silence finally.

"Yes, Kyoya?"

"Could you tell me something and answer truthfully?"

A shiver rolled up my spine. This wasn't going to end well. "I can try, yes,"

He hesitated. "Why are you dating Kaoru?"

I tensed, glancing at the promise ring he gave me. "I-He..." I stuttered over my words. "Is he better than me?" He suddenly asked, fear in his voice. I shook my head. "N-No! He's not!" I frowned. Can't I just shut up? "Then why are you with him? It's a simple question." I shook my head. "Not every simple question has a simple answer, Kyoya." He shrugged. "There's always an answer, though?" I grumbled curse words at him. "He makes me feel... Different. Lighter." I paused. "I don't know, he just makes my heart flutter when I touch him or he touches me. I mean, I felt a jolt of electricity the first time you touched me. I just got... Scared? Nervous, I guess." Kyoya nodded. "That's all I needed to know." He looked out his window.

The limo returned to an uncomfortable silence. "I'm not dating him to make you jealous, you know." That got his attention. "I'm not dating him to make anyone jealous. I'm dating him because we both have obvious feelings for one another." I sighed. "I'm dating him because he's my foundation." Kyoya nodded. "I only want you to be happy, Alaria. I hate seeing you upset." I nod and take his hand and squeeze it. "I am happy."

As I said that, I came up with my own question. "What're we doing, Kyoya? Today's Saturday; no school." He laughed. "We're going on one last trip before winter really hits." I raise a brow in patience. "The zoo." I nod, a small, childish smile on my lips. I let go of his hand and put it on my thigh.

The limo stopped at the zoo. The rest of the Club was already there, waiting outside their limos. As soon as we pulled up, Kaoru smiled.

I got out of the long vehicle and walked over to Kaoru and hugged him. "It felt so weird not waking to your beautiful face." He whispered in my ear. I blushed a scarlet red and giggled. "Good morning, my prince." I felt awful about yesterday...

Kyoya got out of the limo and walked over the Tamaki. "Alright, tickets." He handed each of us a ticket and kept one for himself.

The zoo looked rather expensive; large, beautiful walls and gates and, from what I could see, a wonderful path weaving in the direction of the animal exhibits.
