Alaria's POV

I walked up the steps to Haruhi's apartment door. In some ways, we were doing better than Haruhi and her Dad. I mean, we didn't live in an apartment, we lived in a trailor home. But it wasn't too bad living in an apartment. It's only a bit smaller.

I knocked on the door. I was feeling a bit light headed, so I leaned against the railing and took deep breaths. That was my defense mechonism; faint or black out. Especially when I was in danger I couldn't handle or I was scared or in major pain.

The therapist told me it was normal after... What happened.

Haruhi opened the door, a smile on her face. "Come on in, Lari!" She turned around. "Dad! Alaria's here!" I giggled and she opened the door wider so I could step inside. I took my shoes off at the door, wearing now my knee socks.

Haruhi's Dad walked into the kitchen where Haruhi was preparing some tea. "Oh, Alaria!" He came up behind me and hugged me tightly. I tried not to choke and I didn't want to be rude, so I sent Haruhi a look that said, "Help me!".

"Dad! You've got to be gentle with her!" She warned, peeling him off of me. I stood there, a little bent over from the pain in my torso and stomach. He looked at me, worried, and I smiled weakly at him. "What happened? Is that why you didn't come home last night, Haruhi?" He asked. What? She didn't text him?

Haruhi nodded. "Yeah. Some jerks from school beat on her, left bruises on her stomach. So you've got to be gentle with her." Her attention shot to the squealing tea pot now. Haruhi's Dad frowned at me and hugged me lightly. "I'm so sorry." He murmured in my ear.

I had a feeling he wasn't talking about squeezing me to death.

Haruhi poured the hot water into three cups and put tea bags into the cups. She stirred them around a bit and then smiled. "Tea's done." She handed me and her Dad a cup, and kept the other cup for herself.

I took a sip of the tea and smiled. When Haruhi made tea, it was guarenteed to be good.

We leaned against the counter and talked for a while, but Kyoya grabbing my hand was taking my attention away from the conversation. Why did he grab my hand? I don't want to embarress him and ask him about it, but I'm so curious!

"Lari?" Haruhi called. I jerked my head up to look in her direction. "Sorry, zoned out there!" Haruhi smiled that sweet smile of hers. "No problem. We all do it every once in a while." She reassured me. I nodded and we continued on with our conversation.

Kyoya's POV

"Mr. Ootori," I looked up to find that I was still in the limo. "We're at your house, sir." He said. I nodded once, waking up a bit. I rubbed away at my eyes and fixed my hair, trying to make it seem like I was wide awake.

I walked into the mansion and went straight up to my room. I didn't want to converse with anyone; I just wanted to sleep. The dream I had in the limo was rather interesting, and I hadn't expected to have it. I have a bad feeling I did or said something in the limo while Alaria was there.

But what could I have done that would seem weird to her?

I shook my head and closed my bedroom door behind me. I took off my shirt and closed the curtains, threw my little black book onto the desk, and collapsed on my bed in an exhausted mess.

Alaria would definetly be the death of me.

Alaria's POV

Haruhi and I were cleaning the dishes from dinner. Her Dad was already in bed. I don't remember if he works, but he always seemed so energized that it was almost strange to hear him say, "I'm going to bed."

We finished the dishes quickly, as we only used three, and we headed back to Haruhi's room. She sat down on her bed and almost automatically fell asleep. "Haruhi?" I said. She hummed in reply. "You can go to sleep, I won't mind." She smiled gratefully at me and curled up on her bed as I started a pallet on the floor. She was fast asleep by the time I was done.

I wasn't very tired; after all, I'd gotten much more sleep than the Host Club did.

I still can't believe I let them be so worried for so long! I was out for a total of twenty-six hours and none of them got a bit of sleep at all!

I heard a familiar buzz and searched on Haruhi's desk until I found her phone. She had a text message:

Hey Haruhi. Just wanted to check on you and Alaria!

- Tamaki

I rolled my eyes but giggled quietly. I texted back,

It's Alaria. Haruhi's fallen asleep. But we're alright! Thanks for checking in!

- Alaria and Haruhi

I waited shortly for a reply.

That's good. I don't see sleeping for a bit in your future.

- Tamaki

I giggled, picturing Tamaki saying that out loud.

No, I'm not really tired. I'm truly sorry I kept you all so worried!

- Alaria and Haruhi

The reply took longer this time, but the message was sweet and clear;

Don't be! You wouldn't have been hurt in the first place had I not kept Kyoya in the Music Room when you walked out. I really wish I could go back in time and let Kyoya follow you; the rest of us would've followed him. I'm sorry. You shouldn't be.

- Tamaki

The message actually brought tears to my eyes. Something very rare nowadays. I texted back with,

Thanks, Tamaki. Now you go get some sleep! As president of the Host Club, you're going to need as much sleep as you can possibly get, I can already tell!

- Alaria and Haruhi

I could imagine Tamaki laughing at that.

Alright. You take care and be careful, alright?

- Tamaki

I nodded, even though I knew he couldn't see it.

Forever and always. Good night.

- Alaria and Haruhi

I sighed and put her phone back on her desk. I didn't know whether to expect texts from the others as well, or from just Tamaki. Maybe the others would text her? What would I say if they asked about my dream?

Her phone buzzed again and I grabbed it, sitting down and crossing my legs on the pallet I'd made.

Hey Haruhi! How're you and Alaria?

- Hikaru

Hikaru. That was a bit surprising to say the least.

It's Alaria. Haruhi's asleep. But I'm good, not at all tired.

- Alaria and Haruhi

Oh. Well, I'm happy to hear you're alright.

- Hikaru

I looked down at the text message and read it twice. Was I already a part of their little "family" and they didn't even really know me yet?

I'm not trying to get rid of you or anything, but you should be asleep. Kaoru, too.

- Alaria and Haruhi.

I could almost see Hikaru shaking his head playfully and childishly.

Oh, you ruin all the fun! Good night, Alaria.

- Hikaru

I nodded and replied,

Good night Hikaru. And tell Kaoru good night for me too.

- Alaria and Haruhi

There was no reply, but I hoped he'd read the text message before he and Kaoru went to bed. I got lost in my thoughts until the phone buzzed in my hands once again.

Hello Haruhi. I just wanted to check in on you and Alaria.

- Kyoya

I smiled down at the text. All the boys were so sweet and caring, it made me want to cry.

We're good. Thanks for checking in. Haruhi is asleep, so I took over her phone duties. :)

- Alaria and Haruhi

I tried to picture Kyoya chuckling at that, but my thoughts wandered else where before the sound registered.

Ah. Well, I was going to ask Haruhi to tell you "Hello" for me, but I guess that won't be necessary now.

- Kyoya

I chuckled and rolled my eyes; these guys were a trip, serious or not.

No, I don't think it would. Did you sleep well?

- Alaria and Haruhi

In the limo or in my room?

- Kyoya

In either! I only hope you got enough rest to get you through tomorrow.

- Alaria and Haruhi

Don't be silly! No one can ever get enough sleep to deal with the Host Club!

- Kyoya

Oh, is that so? Is that a challenge? >;D

- Alaria and Haruhi

Hmm. Perhaps... :)

- Kyoya

Hm. I'll hold you to that. How're things?

- Alaria and Haruhi

Things? As in the Host Club?

- Kyoya

Yes, I suppose so.

- Alaria and Haruhi

Well, we're all going to the beach for some relaxation day after tomorrow. We were going to invite someone else, but I've forgotten who...

- Kyoya

I could practically hear the smirk in his voice.

Oh, really? The almighty Kyoya forgetting something? How odd!

- Alaria and Haruhi

Ah! Yes, I remember now! It was you, Alaria! Would you like to come to the beach with us?

-Kyoya

Without thinking, I replied,

I'd be delighted to come to your beach relaxation day with the Host Club!

- Alaria and Haruhi

I mentally just face palmed. And then physically face palmed.

Great! Well, I've got some things to take care of, so good night, Alaria.

- Kyoya

Good night, Kyoya.

- Alaria and Haruhi

What did I just get myself into!?
