Alaria's POV

I woke up, the sun in my eyes. I couldn't recall ever falling asleep, but I had, apparently. I sat up and looked at Haruhi's bed, expecting to see her sleeping. Instead, there wasn't a Haruhi there. I stretched and yawned, then stood and combed out my hair so that it shined and fell onto my shoulders like feathers.

I followed the scent of a delicious breakfast into the kitchen and smiled. Pancakes and eggs! Yum! I don't usually eat that sweet, delectable kind of breakfast. Just a bowl of cereal will always do. But I'm not complaining!

Haruhi turned to me and smiled. "Good morning!" She said over the sizzling stove. "How'd you sleep?" I asked politely. She smiled and nodded. "Pretty good, actually. I checked my phone," She paused to put the eggs onto a plate and flip the pancakes, "It looks as if the boys are really warming up to you." She glanced at me over her shoulder. I just shrugged. "I guess."

I sat down at the table and waited for her to finished the pancakes; I would've offered to help her had she not been almost finished.

She put the pancakes and eggs on two seperate plates and grabbed the syrup. She put the two plates down on the table, one plate in front of me, and put the syrup in the middle of the table. She smiled at me and we ate breakfast in a comfortable silence. "I don't have to wear a frilly yellow dress, do I?" I asked in a whiney voice. Haruhi laughed and shook her head. "No, you don't. Not unless the chairman sees you. Which I honestly doubt. And the rest of the staff couldn't care less."

I nodded and finished my eggs. I poured the syrup on to the pancakes and ate them slowly, admiring them. "What? Don't you eat those often?" Haruhi questioned. I shook my head. "No, not really." Haruhi nodded. "Well, my Dad was called to work early, so it's just the two of us." I nodded in reply, my mouth full of pancakes.

We finished our breakfast and I grabbed my regular routine uniform. I pulled it on, noting that the bruises were slowly starting to fade from the ugly yellow/green color into the shade of my skin.

Haruhi opened the door, already changed into the males' Ouran uniform. She waited for me to leave the apartment before walking down the stairs. As soon as we set foot on the sidewalk, a black limo pulled up beside us. "Tamaki." I heard Haruhi say.

The driver opened the door and Haruhi slipped in, then myself. There, beside Haruhi, was Tamaki, just as she'd said. "Good morning, princesses." He said it with a deep, husky voice that made me giggle. "Good morning, Tamaki." Haruhi and I said in unision. Tamaki's eyes sparkled with a look that said, "I'm ready to face another day". I knew my determination wasn't so great.

Haruhi randomly patted her front left pocket and I jumped to attention. "Alaria, I think she read our text messages." He put his hand in front of his mouth as if to whisper something she couldn't hear. I did the same and said, "Oh gosh! We're so busted!" Haruhi laughed, making the both of us laugh and breaking our act.

It seemed as if the driver was speeding, because we got to the school faster than I thought we would've. Or maybe it was just because we were having a good time?

The driver stopped at the gates of Ouran and let us out. We walked through the gates and followed the path to the main building, heading to Music Room 3. When we got there, I noticed that Kyoya, Hunni-Senpai, Mori-Senpai, Hikaru, and Kaoru were already there. "Hey, Tamaki. Isn't the president supposed to be the first one here?" I asked playfully. He shrugged. "Not if I'm picking up a pretty lady," I blushed, "And her best friend." He quickly added, referring to me. I rolled my eyes and scoffed playfully.

I took a seat across from Kyoya. "So, Alaria, how do you feel?" He asked. He obviously wasn't interested in the others' conversation. I nodded. "I'm pretty good. The bruises don't really hurt that much today. So I'd say I'm better than alright." I added. He nodded. "Well, I just wanted to see if you had an answer for my offer the other day." I froze. I'd forgotten completely about his offer.
