Chapter Ten- "So, We're Friends For Now?"

"Hey, Niall" Dakota said as she was in front of Niall, she also have a small wave with a smile.

"Hey, Dakota" Niall said, giving her a smile.

"Let's go walking for a bit and then I'll explain some things on the way, alright  Niall"

"Yeah, anything you want"

Niall got up from his seat from the bench and they both started walking together.

They was a long pause, but it wasn't uncomfortable it was actually quite nice.

"So, what did you wanted to talk about?" Niall questioned Dakota.

"I wanted to talk about what happened the other night-"

"Dakota, it's fine. I shouldn't have said to straight forwards, you know, don't worry about the slap"

"No, Niall. It's not right that I slap you, I shouldn't have, I should have told you what was going through my mind but loads of things were running through my mind that night"

"Honestly, Dakota, it's fine"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, love!"

When Niall said love to Dakota, it made her heart flutter and she felt something in her stomach.

The two walked around Grand Central and then decided to go shopping. They went to the Stella McCartney store.

"Ready?"

"Yes, now let me see"

Dakota came out in this white knee length dress and did a little twirl for Niall.

"You look beautiful"

Dakota heart fluttered once again, she gave him a smile then went back inside to change into her normal clothes.

Once Dakota finished her and Niall went to go pay the clothes.

"I'll pay"

"No, Niall"

"Dakota..."

"Niall..."

"Your shoes untied, Dakota"

"Really? Here take the clothes and let me tie my shoes"

When Dakota have the clothes to Niall she looked down at her boots that were kinda like high heels and saw none of the laces untied, she looked up and saw Niall paying the clothes.

Niall turned around and saw Dakota glaring at him and he just winked at her.

"Why did you do that?" Dakota pouted, "Next time, I'm paying. Now give me the bag or are you going to carry it as well?". Dakota grabbed the bag, but as she did that her hand brushed against Niall's.

"Let's go to this bakery, that I known since I was a little girl" Dakota said to Niall.

Right before they left, some fans that were a few feet away from them that were recording Niall and Dakota. Then they posted the video up to Twitter.

"Niall!!"

"Dakota!!"

"Are you two back together?!"

"Dakota, are you pre-"

Questions were being bombarded to Niall and Dakota by the press, but once stopped when the two walked in the bakery that Dakota had know since she was a little girl.

"Dakota! How wonderful to see you again!" Annie the owner of the bakery said to Dakota and went up to her giving her a warm hug.

"Hi Annie!" Dakota said returning the hug.

"Who's this young man? Is he your boyfriend?" Annie questioned Dakota.

"Annie this is Niall and Niall this is Annie. Annie he's not m boyfriend, he's one of my friends" Dakota said to Annie who was nodding her head as to what Dakota just said.

"What would you two like?" Annie asked as she went back to the counter.

"Do you still have the birthday cake cupcakes?" Dakota asked, those cupcakes were her most favourite one.

"We indeed do, and they were just made" Annie said taking one out from the little display window.

"What would you like Niall" Dakota asked, "I think I want the strawberry shortcake" Niall said reading the cursive name of the pastry that was in the display window.

"Annie?"

"Yeah, sweetheart?"

"Can you close the curtains?"

"Sure, honey, it was already closing time but you two take your time eating" Annie said putting each curtain down and then turning the "Open" sign to the "Close" sign.

"If you two want more pastries then go ahead and take some, don't worth about paying. Finally, if you need me I'll be in the back room alright" Annie said walking to the back room.

"So, you like the cake?"

"It's delicious Dakota, she's a great baker"

"Yeah"

"You have something on your cheek, here, let me get it" Dakota said and then wiped some of the whipped cream off of Niall's cheek.

During this action Niall and Dakota stared at each other, there was a small part by the window were the curtain didn't cover and paparazzi took some pictures of Dakota cleaning whipped cream off of Niall.

"There, it's gone" Dakota said quietly, still looking at Niall as well.

"I've been wanting to ask you something Dakota"

"And that is?"

"I still love you Dakota, alright"

"You already told me that"

"But, I want us back together you know"

"Niall, I still love you as well"

"Then, let me take you out for a while then we'll see where this relationship will go" Niall said to Dakota.

"Alright" Dakota said nodding her head in approval, "So, we're friends for now?"

"Correct"

"One more thing, Dakota"

"What is that Niall?

"Can we give each other a hug, I miss you being in my arms"

Dakota and Niall got up from their seats and embraced each other in a warm and loving hug, then Niall kissed Dakota's soft silky hair. Dakota had her head in the crook of Niall's neck.

Paparazzi saw this and took multiples pictures of this.

Dakota and Niall didn't care if paparazzi found out even though the curtains were closed.

They only cared when the two confessed their love for each other, knowing that none of them didn't stop loving each other.

A/N- Hi lovelies, I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I am not sure if whether there is a Stella McCartney store in New York or not. But I put it in the chapter because I absolutely love the clothing, accessories, shoes, and handbags and me and my mum always buy the Stella McCartney clothing and all.
