Pain ~ A Poem

There is pain in my heart,

There is pain in my mind,

There is pain in my soul,

It follows me,

It follows me wherever I go,

There is pain in my thoughts,

There is pain in my past,

My future will be bitter,

My present is poor,

I long for the freedom,

I long to let go,

Cause if you're not me,

You will never know,

My heart it cries out for the freedom,

It needs it,

Ask for it so much,

The pain overwhelms me,

The pain it hurts so badly,

I wish for it to end,

Cause I can no longer pretend to go on like this.
