Alexis' POV
I was packing up my dark blue, 2013, two door Camaro as a taxi pulled up. Natalie got out with her suitcase as the taxi left. "Glad you could make it on time," I smiled.
"I wasn't going to miss this," Natalie nodded.
"Good."
"Why haven't you gotten your suitcase in the car, yet?"
"Well, our unpaid job. You're in for a surprise." I opened the trunk to reveal the arsenal. "Is this all the weapons we need?"
"Yeah, if not more." She picked up a blade. "How the hell did you get anangel blade?"
"It was a lot of work but I managed to get us three." Natalie looked at me. "I didn't get it illegally or killed any angels for it." Natalie raised a brow. "Okay, maybe I did get it off the black market but it's legit." I noticed she had her supernatural necklace on. "You're protected." I laid the flap down to hide the arsenal and put our suitcases in the trunk. I closed it. "Ready to head to Woodbridge?"
"Yeah." She got onto the passenger seat and I was driving. "I can't believe we're actually doing this."
"We are."
"We don't have any money." I opened the glovebox between the box of us. "What is that?"
"Forty thousand dollars. Nat, I was saving up for this. You know that. We, eventually, will be settling down somewhere."
"Yeah. Well, I didn't think you'll have forty thousand dollars, in cash."
"I have more than that. I'll show you and Bailey. We're all in this together now. Our normal lives are practically done. We're hunters now. You, me, and Bailey. This is our family business."
"Family business?"
"Yeah, because the three of us are going to stick together no matter what happens and let's just say this won't be the end of it."
Natalie turned on the music. "Of course it would be After Romeo."
"Hey, Nat, you wanna stop by Kohl's first?"
"Why?"
"I have to say goodbye to someone before I actually leave town." I parked in the Kohl's parking lot and Natalie followed me inside. There was Jeremy. "Hey Jer Bear!"
"Lexie," Jeremy smiled as he walked up to me. "This your friend?"
"The one and only Natalie Ruiz from Dallas," I nodded.
"She talks about you a lot," Jeremy stated.
"As she does you too," Natalie replied.
"Anyways, I was just stopping by to say goodbye to the place," I smiled as I looked around. "I've been gone from here for a month."
"And here you are, back here," Jeremy looked at me.
"Yeah, and I'm leaving. I'm heading to Woodbridge to pick up another one of my girls and then we hit the road from there. We don't really have a set location," I sighed. "We're just going to see where the road takes us."
"And where the research takes us," Natalie added.
"Haha, we'll see how good that is to us without a GPS anyways," I nodded.
"Alexis," Natalie tapped on me. "Sis."
"What?" I asked and I turned around. She pointed at two familiar guys who walked in. "Uhm, we gotta go. You can text me whenever and I'll get back with you as soon as I can." Natalie and I followed the two guys. "Hey." They turned around to look at me. "You're Dean and Sam Winchester, hunters."
"Who's asking?" the shorter one asked, who's Dean.
"We're hunters," I replied.
"Amateur hunters, anyways," Natalie nodded.
"You guys took down that windego case in Little Rock four years back," I nodded. They looked at me like I was crazy. "I was the little girl you carried out of the cave because I couldn't walk."
Sam looked at me. "That was you?" he asked.
"Yeah," I replied. "You guys are kind of the reason why I took up hunting in the first place."
"You know nothing about that and you should get out before you get any deeper," Dean nodded. "Hunting isn't an occupation someone just chooses. It chooses you, okay?"
"No it doesn't," Sam replied. "Dean, our dad made us do this."
"I'm going to make a call and see what Bailey knows," Natalie replied.
"Yeah, you do that," I smiled.
"I thought you would've left by now," Jeremy said as he walked up to me and the Winchester brothers. "Who are these guys?"
"Who are you?" Dean asked, rudely.
I stomped on his foot, but no one else seemed to notice. "Just a few guys I met four years back," I smiled.
"Met?" Sam asked as I looked at him. "I believe I saved your life."
"At eighteen years old Alexis needed saving?" Jeremy asked. I looked at him with my mouth open. "You know you always need help."
"That's a lie," I smiled. Natalie walked up to us as Jeremy was called away by an associate. "What did you find out?"
"Your boys here are legacies," Natalie nodded. "Legacies for the Men of Letters."
"How do you know about Men of Letters?" Dean asked.
"I have my own team of hunters," I nodded. "One of them actually specializes in the Men of Letters."
"I bet you don't have an anti-possession charm on you," Dean looked at us.
"You first," I nodded. They pulled down the front of their shirt and there it was. "Natalie." She fiddled with her necklace. "Most people think it's just a necklace."
"Where's yours?" Sam asked.
I faced my back towards them and slid the arm to my shirt on the right side down. "I had it tatted after the day of the windego case," I looked at them. "It wasn't my first choice to get tatted but I definitely didn't want a demon to take possession of me."
"That's hard," Sam nodded. "I got possessed once. It caused me to get this."
"Better safe than sorry," I replied. I turned to look at Natalie but she was gone. "What the ---" I looked around. "Natalie, where the hell are you?" The boys followed me to customer service. "Jeremy, I need a page." He handed me the store phone. "Thanks." I cleared my throat. "Natalie Ruiz, please meet your party at customer service. Natalie Ruiz, please meet your party at customer service." I handed the phone back to Jeremy. "Thanks."
"You still got it in you," Jeremy smiled.
"Just shut up," I nodded. Natalie walked up to me holding a black, gray, and brown leather jackets. "Why are you shopping?"
"It's only three leather jackets," Natalie nodded.
"How much is one of them?" I asked.
"Looks like two fifty," Sam said as he looked at the tag.
"That's not the right price," I sighed. Natalie put the jackets on the counter. "I'll take all three of them, Jeremy."
"Okay," Jeremy nodded.
"Did you find the right sizes to fit us?" I asked.
"The gray one is yours because it's the only extra small one they have. I got a large for Bailey and a large for me," Natalie nodded. "She said she'll take the brown one so I'll have the black one."
"Is this it?" Jeremy asked.
"Yeah, before we hit the road," I sighed as I got out my phone. "How much is it going to be?"
"A hundred fifty three, ninety eight," Jeremy sighed. I got out two hundred and handed it to Jeremy as Natalie grabbed the bag. "What are you doing carrying around hundreds?"
"Shut up," I sighed. "Keep the change. Let's go." We walked out to the Camaro as the Winchesters walked to a black, '67 chevy impala that was parked right next to me. "Seriously?"
"You're stuck with us, kiddo," Dean smiled.
"Ugh," I groaned as I got in my car. "When we get to Woodbridge, remind me to hit myself in the head with a brick." I started driving as Dean followed us. "Why do I have to be stuck with him? This isn't what I envisioned."
"Well, honestly, I think Dean has this thing for you," Natalie looked at me. I had a disgusted look to my face. "Oh, come on. He was seriously flirting with you."
"Yeah, if you think criticism is flirting with me, fine," I nodded. "But no. I'm not here for him. I'm here for you and Bailey. That's it, sis."
