Natalie's POV
A good nine months had passed. We found out that Bailey was pregnant. She just had a baby girl with Jayden. They named her Lauren, after Jayden's older sister, who died years ago. "Well, are we all ready to get off?" I asked. Alexis and Mke walked in with their hands glued together. "It looks like our open ended ticket is going to have to wait. "What happened to you two?"
"Epoxor," Mike replied. "The glue nighlok."
"Uhm, Antonio," I called. Antonio walked in. "How are they going to train?"
"Jayden," Antonio called. Jayden ran in. "We have a problem."
"Emily, out on the pad," Jayden sighed. "You two as well."
We walked out to the pad. I handed a bamboo sword to Alexis and Mike. I held it with his right and Alexis with her left. "This isn't going to work," Alexis replied.
"Just try it," Jayden nodded.
We got onto position. "Basic ketsugurai," Alexis replied. A they reached up their hand and Mike stepped on Alexis foot. "Ow! My foot!"
"You pulled me that way," Mike replied.
"Come on, Mike," Alexis sighed. "Focus, please."
Emily went at them. They blocked one hit and Mike got swatted in the butt. "That was your fault, you keep pulling me around," Mike stated.
"Come on," Alexis looked at him. "Left to right. Left to right."
"I was doing that," Mike nodded.
"No, you went the other way," Alexis sighed.
"This is awful," I nodded.
"Look, I know you guys can pull this off but first you have to get in sync," Jayden replied. Mike tugged on the glue and sent them both to the ground. "You guys think you're fighting that glue. But you're really fighting yourselves more."
Alexis and Mike got up and went inside. "Come on, we can do this," Mike sighed. They held up a brush and tried to draw their symbol. It turned into a bunch of scribbles on a piece of paper. "This is useless."
They started fighting. "Guys, stop," Emily ran over to them. I walked over as well. "I know this is hard but fighting isn't going to solve anything."
"Come on, there has to be something to do around here that can make us useful," Alexis nodded. They tried taking out the trash and ended tearing the bag in half making the trash spill all over the common room. Mentor walked up to us. "Sorry Mentor."
"Go, get some groceries," Mentor replied. "At least that might make you guys useful."
"Fine," Alexis nodded.
"I'll go as well," I sighed. I followed them. They fell off the front steps as we walked out of the Shiba House. They got back up. "You two are supposed to get married in three months. How are you supposed to do that when you two are disagreeing about everything right now?"
"Alexis, how can we even be rangers if we can't even take out the trash?" Mike asked. "Or get married? Natalie's right."
"We're getting married not to be up each other's ass twenty four seven but because we love each other," Alexis replied. "And not to be glued to each other either." We were walking into the city and people were laughing at them. "Great."
"What?" Mike asked. "We're just, uh, practicing the waltz."
"What?" I asked.
"I'll lead," Mike nodded as he grabbed Alexis' hand. Mike started dancing around and Alexis was falling behind. "One, two, three."
"What are you doing?" Alexis asked as she stopped him. "We're not dancing the waltz."
"Foxtrot?" Mike asked.
"Mike," Alexis groaned as she stopped him. "Just come on." She pulled Mike along to the grocery store. "We need to get groceries a lot more but not glued together."
I carried the groceries for them. "Is that it?" I asked.
"Yeah," Mike sighed as he put the change in his pocket. "Alexis, get into the shopping cart."
"You're kidding, right?" Alexis asked.
"Nope," Mike nodded. Alexis did and he started pushing the cart. "See? A lot easier."
"Well, at least this teaches you guys to learn to get along with each other," I smiled.
"I'm just impressed with this idea," Alexis smiled. "You're really creative."
"Well, I have to be," Mike looked at me. "I don't have much of your intellectual skills."
We stopped. "What?" Alexis asked.
"Look," Mike pointed. The remaining rangers ran past us. "We have to."
"Let's hit it," Alexis nodded.
"Go ahead," I nodded. Mike pushed Alexis in the cart. "I'll just take these groceries home." I went home with the groceries. "I'm home with the items."Mike's POV
I pushed Alexis in the cart as we ran to towards our fellow rangers. I stopped. "Look," I sighed. Alexis jumped out of the cart as we got closer to the railing. Our fellow rangers had morphed and they were stuck in glue. "We're the only ones who can stop him now, but how are we going to fight like this?" I looked at Alexis. "I have to ask you a favor. I can't keep up with your technique. You're too good. Would you be willing to lower yourself down a notch so we can be in-sync?"
"Well, in a situation like this, we're going to need to get creative," Alexis nodded. "I'll follow your lead and match you. What do you say?"
"Let's do this," I smiled.
"I'll glue the whole world together," said the nighlok.
He was about to glue some people but we block it with the cart. "Not if we can help it," I replied.
"How dare you interfere with my fun," the nighlok replied.
"Playtime's over, nighlok," I nodded.
"Oh yeah?" the nighlok looked at us. "And just who are you two jokers?"
"Watch and see," Alexis smiled.
We got out our samuraizers. "Go, go Samurai!" we stated. We drew our symbol and morphed. "Ha!"
"Hey, I know you!" the nighlok exclaimed.
"It's time to take him down with your technique," I stated.
"Plus, your imagination," Alexis added.
"Samurai ranger!" we stated in unison. "Ready!"
The nighlok laughed. "This is the best joke yet," he stated. "Seriously though. You guys are toast."
"Ha, keep dreaming," I stated.
"Mike, let's show him what this duo can do," Alexis nodded.
"Follow me," I replied. We started running towards the nighlok. He shot glue at us. "Jump!" We jumped. "Flying front kick!"
"To the chest," Alexis stated. We did and landed on our feet. "Ha!"
"Rapid jazz now," I smiled. We did. "Side kick now!" Alexis did the side kick. "Now flip me." Alexis flipped me over and I kick the nighlok twice. "Flip me up!" Alexis did. "Going up! Coming down!" I hit the nighlok twice again, in the head this time. We fought the nighlok and he looked at us. "Alexis, are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
"Windmill," Alexis nodded. "Spin me." I did and we got the nighlok three times. "Let's go." We grabbed the swords and started fighting the nighlok. "One plus one doesn't equal two. It's one less nighlok."
"Forest spear!" we stated.
We stabbed the nighlok and we killed him. The glue disappeared and we dropped our swords. "Oh yay!" Alexis replied as we were happy that we were free. "Finally."
"Well, at least I can say that we will always be together, no matter what," I smiled. We demorphed and hugged each other. The rest of the rangers came over and hugged us. "We found a way to be in-sync."Natalie's POV
"The rangers had a nighlok," I looked at Bailey. "They went after it."
"Really?" Bailey asked, holding Lauren. "Start making food so that they can eat when they get home."
"Right," I sighed. "I'm sure they'll be starving when they get here."
