Alexis' POV
After the party, we all sat in the common room. I sat next to Mike. "I know you guys worry about me because you guys are my family," I sighed.
"You'll always be family to us," Dom replied. "I'm always there when you call."
"I know," I smiled.
"The talk with your dad," Mike replied.
"Right. So my dad called Mike a mistake and said that he would never compare to Dan. Mike knows about Dan. But honestly, I think Mike is the one for me," I nodded. "I told my dad I was getting married. He said a lot of bull but we ignored it. That was until my dad told me I was no longer his daughter." Mike put his arm around me. "So, with that being said, Dom, would you walk me down the aisle when the time comes?"
"If Jeremy does say yes to being the best man," Mike reminded me.
"I'd be honored to," Dom nodded.
"Everyone here is invited," Mike smiled. "I'm sure Alexis would want you there to celebrate our special day."
"You guys are my only family," I sighed. "I want you all there."
"You want Crowley there?" Dean asked.
"Hell no," I stated. "That marriage was void."
"I would hope it was," Sam replied.
"After I found out he took my soul, I really can't trust him," I nodded. The doorbell rang. "I got it." I opened the door. "Jeremy, you're a year too early, with a cake."
"I'm early for your birthday party?" Jeremy asked.
"You're a bit late," Mike replied.
Jeremy gave me a hug and walked in. "I see you guys got a cake as well," Jeremy replied.
"Yeah," Natalie nodded as I sat back down next to Mike. "What are you doing here?"
"I have to give congrats to my best girl and guy friend," Jeremy smiled. "I can't believe the two of you are getting married. Mike, I didn't think you were with anyone."
"Did you make this cake?" I asked.
"All from scratch," Jeremy nodded. "I was in Georgia coming to see Mike anyways."
"Well, if you told us you were stopping by, we could've waited," Mike looked at Jeremy. "But have you thought of an answer?"
"I'll be your best man," Jeremy nodded.
"Dom, you're walking me," I smiled. My phone rang and I looked at it. "It's my dad's girlfriend." I picked up and put it on speaker. "What?"
"Do't you take that tone with me, young lady," she kinda yelled.
"Oh, whatever, Melissa," I responded. "You have no control over me any longer."
"You still owe us $1,700 for your car," Melissa coldly demanded.
"Excuse me?" raised my voice. "I paid for my car on my own and have my own insurance. Besides, that's all you want from me anyways." I looked at my phone. "All you want is the money."
"Your father bought you that car," Melissa replied.
"If he bought me the car, you would be able to to tell me what car it was," I replied. "So, tell me, what car did he buy me?"
"A mustang," Melissa added.
"Nope," I popped the p "That's wrong."
"And I bought her the car," Tej replied. "It was a blue 2013 Camaro and it's sitting at my garage in Miami."
"Really?" Melissa asked. "You're in Miami."
"You might find my car, but you won't find me," I smiled.
"Keep talking, you owe us $5,000," Melissa stated.
"Oh, I can keep talking," I nodded. "Can I borrow somebody's laptop?" Sam handed me his. "Thank you." I got onto the Fort Smith City Water Company site. "I can keep talking but let's just say that you were the one to get the water shut off." I hit enter and the site said services cancelled. "Since I no longer live there, you can no longer keep the water in my name."
"Hey, who turned off the water?!" a voice called in the background.
I smiled. "You have fun," Mike looked at me.
"Bit---"
I hung up the call. "Well, as you can see, that's exactly why I left," I sighed.
"Alexis, you have $40,000," Natalie replied. "You should just give them the $5,000."
"If I do, they become a weekly phone call asking for more," I looked at Natalie. "They'll drain me dry until I have nothing left. That's something I do not want to do. Especially when we have the costs of a wedding next year."
"I am here to take care of you," Mike nodded.
"I need to be independent sometimes, Mike," I replied.
"What about that time I saved you?" Sam asked.
"It was a windego case and I was a victim," I looked at him. "That's different from actually dong a case." I looked at the cake. "Jeremy, this cake is really beautiful. Since you did make it, can you make our wedding cake?"
"Yeah," Jeremy nodded. "What flavor do you ---"
"Red velvet," Mike and I cut him off.
"It's our favorite," Mike smiled.
"Yeah," I smiled as I closed the laptop and handed it back to Sam. "Thanks for that too." I looked at Mike. "You do know that I'm going to be traveling out of America for my wedding dress, right?"
