Chapter 8
"You okay babe?" asked Dominic as he parked into the school's parking lot. It was the first day back at school as an official couple. Since Dominic was a grade ahead of me, he was able to have a car at school.
I yawned and replied, "Yeah I am fine. I am just tired." This diet Sally had me on took a lot of my energy. It had only been two days and I was already a little tired. I wanted to throw in the towel and call it quits, but I am not that type of girl. Once I commit to things, I stay commited to the end. Besides, I knew after I get to my goal, I would be skinny and not have to worry about this stupid diet anymore. At least that is what Sally told me Saturday.
I opened the door to the passenger side and pushed myself off the seat. I slowly grabbed my things and leaned against his car. He got out of the car and strolled sexily over to me. Even tired, I couldn't stop thinking of how I am his girlfriend. Out of all the girls in the school, he had chosen me, Martha Maria Copeland, the light golden brown haired and blue eyed girl. He lifted my chin up softly and kissed my lips so tenderly. It was as if he thought I would break by one simple kiss of his. Even though his kisses were soft, they rapidly grew passionate. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him towards me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and held me. I played with his hair in my fingers. I loved how his hair was so soft, yet rough at the same time. He was just so adorable. We kissed for who knows how long until I heard two familiar voices.
"Gross! Go get a room!" yelled Thomas and Beth in sync. Dominic and I stopped kissing, but still held on to each other close. We turned our heads to them and I stuck my tongue out at them.
Dominic mimicked them, "Gross! Go get a room! Ay coño." We all looked at him and not less than five seconds later burst out laughing. Dominic released me and grabbed my hand. He locked his car and we walked alongside Beth and Thomas. I whispered to Dominic, "Wouldn't they make a cute couple? Then, we could double date." I felt my smile getting wider after each word sliding off my tongue.
Dominic laughed his full belly laugh and looked over at Thomas and Beth. They were arguing about which movie Big Mama movie was better. Apparently, there was a Big Mama movie marathon on television over the weekend. Too bad I missed it. I enjoyed Big Mama movies. They always made me laugh and I often wondered why these guys would dress like women. They must have been getting payed a lot for the role.
"Big Mama's House is definitely the better movie." said Thomas. Beth shook her head and replied "No way! Big Mama's House 2 is definitely the better movie and you know it." Thomas strug and said, "Pfft! Whatever floats your boat hot mama."
'Hot Mama?' I couldn't hold in the laughter inside me. At first, it sounded like a fart from my mouth. Then the laughter came and I toppled over laughing. Beth was cracking up too. I don't know if she was laughing at the way I fell to the the ground or because Thomas just called her a 'Hot Mama'!
Thomas looked shell-shocked. He asked curiously, "WHAT?! What did I say that is so funny?" He turned to Dominic and Dominic shrugged.
Thomas mumbled, "Chicks. Can't live with them, can't live without them." With that, he walked off. He was clearly embarassed.
Beth and Dominic helped me up off the ground and I got to my feet. All that laughing made my sides hurt. My side was already hurting because all I ate for breakfast was a nutrigrain bar and not even half a cup of orange juice. I had to stare at my food for half an hour, wishing I could eat it.
Beth turned to us and said, "Oh shit! We are going to be late to class if we don't hurry!" I shrieked and gave Dominic a quick kiss and ran off with Beth in the opposite direction. Beth was in my first hour so we ran to class together.
When I got to class with 10 seconds to spare, I saw Sally sitting in the back. She was giving me the most scariest death stare, I thought I died on the spot.
Oh no.
I forgot.
I never told her.
I rode with Dominic to school.
We always ride together with her mom. Her mom must've came by and saw no one was there and she had to ride to school by herself. She had no one to tell me news about or new gossip she heard at cheerleading practice last night.
Oh boy, was I screwed?!
