Brad's POV
I was waiting for Maddie at our usual stop until I saw her walking towards me
"Sorry I'm late I was talking to Jason" Maddie apologised
"That's fine" I fake smiled as we started walking towards our houses
It went quite
"So are you okay now?" Maddie asked
I looked at her with a confused expression
"You walked out of English today with a headache?" She questioned
"Oh yeah" I paused "I'm fine! Nothing some medicine can't beat"
"Oh good" Maddie smiled
"Thanks for saving my ass in English today by the way" I smiled
"Oh no problem" she paused "were you not listening or something?"
"Something like that yeah" I shrugged
"Are you okay Brad you seem like your not in the best of moods"
"It's just this headache which is really bugging me" I lied
"Oh it must be a bad headache then" she shrugged trying to make conversation
"I've had worse I guess"
"Oh" she paused "did you know I don't get that bad of headaches"
The conversation carried on like this for most of the walk to our house until we got to the end of our road
"Brad"
"Yes"
"I need to make sure your okay with me dating Jason"
I just looked at her
"Are you happy with him?" I asked
"Well I guess. Yeah"
"As long as you aren't dating him for the sake of it" I shrugged "You should probably make sure he is in it for real because I don't want to see you heartbroken"
"Thanks Brad" she stopped since we were outside our houses
She hugged me
"But if anything does happen know you can come and talk to me"
"I know that already" she smiled
And I gave her another hug
"Have fun on your date" I said as I started walking towards my house
"Thank you" she shouted before she disappeared into her house
I ran upstairs and sat on my bed
Why didn't I tell her how I really felt when I had the chance
I put my head in my hands and took deep breaths and picked up my guitar and started writing a song. The thing I do best when I have messed up
