Chapter 2: The New Principal

  Toby sat at the door, waiting for his older sister. "Come on Sarah! We have to be at least three minutes early!!"
"I'm coming! I'm coming!" Sarah came running down the stairs. "Gee Toby, I never thought you, of all people, would be so excited to get to school on time... Also, why three minutes?? Why not five minutes?"
"I dunno. Teacher's orders, I guess"
"Why are you so concerned about this new principal, anyway? Are you in trouble again?"
"No, no, it's not like that. I just, well, he... He seems, familiar to me, somehow. I don't know why, maybe you can figure it out when you meet him." Sarah and Toby got into the car. Toby turned on the CD player and his favorite album started to play. The artist was Ziggy Stardust. (I had to intertwine David's music into the world somehow) Both Sarah and Toby's voices blended for the last line of the albums title track and artist's name. "Ziggy plllaayyyyeeeddd ggguuuiiiittaaaaarrrrr" () Sarah pulled into the school's parking lot. Sarah opened the door and let Toby go in before herself. " Lead the way, Toby." Toby and Sarah walked down to the main office. The halls were empty, as is because the school hasn't opened yet. Sarah volunteers for the Library, and is mandatory that all staff and regular volunteers get introduced to the new principal. They walked in to the office and saw a man with blonde hair and a brown suit, legs crossed, reading a book. (see pic above)
"Uhh, Mr. Bowie? " the man stood up, setting the book down and adjusted His hair, tie, etc.
"Oh! I'm terribly sorry! I didn't try to be rude! Excuse my bad manners, it's just that when I start reading, the whole world falls down around me and I don't pay much attention."
"Oh it's ok! I know exactly that feeling! I volunteer for the library you see, and I write novels in my spare time..."
"Oh, you do? That sounds lovely, I'll have to read them some time. But allow me to introduce myself. I'm David Bowie, pleasure to meet you, S-" He extended his hand out and hoped that they hadn't noticed the almost slip up. Sarah shook his hand.
"Sarah. Sarah Williams. This is my brother, Toby."
"Hello sir"
"Hello there, Toby. I'm glad to see that your sister has taught you to be polite. I shouldn't expect to see you in my office much, yes?" Toby chuckled. "I guess we'll wait and see!" David smiled. Just then, Sarah noticed the familiarities that Toby mentioned. His eyes were quite unusual. One pupil was bigger than the other, and because of this, it gave off the illusion the the larger pupiled eye was brown and the normal eye was blue. Key word illusion. His teeth were crooked, so crooked that anyone could recognize them anywhere. Sarah had one thought. Jareth. But how could he be here? In our world?

Jareth's POV

I hope they didn't notice the fact that I almost said Sarah's name. They didn't say anything, so I think I'm good, for now. It's only the first day, and I already almost messed up. Being Principal isn't that bad. It's not that much different that the kingdom back home. Our school is so small that often, the students refer to the adults by first name. There is a maximum of five kids per class. It's a very small school, but I think it's the perfect environment for Toby and Sarah. Now I need to figure out my plan on how to tell Toby who I am without scaring him off...
