Chapter 6: Asking Her

 "I KNEW it!! I flipping knew it!!!!!" Josh's reaction scared the heck outta me.
"Y-you did?? H-how??"
"Oh c'mon, Toby! Its obvious!"
"I-it is?"
"Yes! I've seen the ways you look at her, the way your face lights up when I mention her, or she comes over. It might sound cliché, but it's true..." I tried to hide the fact I was blushing.
"You are SOOO asking her out!"
"Wait wait wait... What?!?! Soooo, you're not like, creeped out by it?"
"Of course not, Toby! In fact, I have been shipping it for quite some time now..."
"I'm just glad you're not ​mad...."
"Mad?? Why would I be mad?"
"Oh, uh, I dunno. I guess I thought you wouldn't like the fact that I like our best friend, that's all...."
"Ahh, I see where you're coming from. But no, I'm not mad, nor should I. You two are too adorable to ever get mad at." There's no hiding the blushing at this point. I didn't know what to say.
"C'mon! I wanna help with your 'question'" Josh said, smirking.
​​​​​​ "Oh geez...." Welp, this is gonna be a loooonngg weekend...

Jareth's POV

After I got home, I realized something. I need to ask Toby for permission. Well, I didn't HAVE to, but I didn't want to have that blow up and mess up everything. Rather be safe, than sorry. I pulled out my phone and started texting him.

Toby's POV

My phone started going off when Josh and I were talking. Oh it was David... What did he want?
"Who is it?" Josh asked, trying to peer over my phone.
"It's David, hang on a sec."

D: hey, toby, sorry for bothering you while you were at your friends house, but i had a very important question.
T: oh, hey, no problem, david. what did ya wanna ask?
D: well, um, you see...
T: yeah?
D: i um, wanted to know if, uh, i could ask out your sister.... may i?

"Holy crap...."
"What? What did he want?"
"He wants to ask out Sarah!"
"He does?"
"Yes! This is amazing!!" I couldn't help but smile, geez, I'm such a hormonal wreck today XD
"It is?"
"Yes!! Don't you see, Josh? This is one step closer to proving that he's Jareth! This is wonderful!!"

5 minutes later
D: Toby??
T: oh! sorry david! and yes, you can date sarah, i have no problems with that whatsoever
D: really?? thank you, toby!
T: yep, just david....
D: yeah?
T: try to have her home by midnight ;)
D: i will XD

Jareth's POV

Yes, yes YES!!! Honestly, I didn't expect Toby to be so enthusiastic. I'm gonna stop by the store and buy her some flowers, long stem roses, specifically.

I was reading when I thought I saw a car pulling up. Then I heard a knock on the door. when I opened it, I saw a trail of rose petals on the ground. I followed them out back to the gazebo in our back yard. When I looked up, I gasped. David was leaning against the wall with a rose in his mouth. There was a sign above him. It said 'Sarah, will you be my bookworm?' He left me speechless. "D-David, I, uhh, yes!!" He pulled the rose out of his mouth, and handed it to me. I set it aside and ran up to him and kissed him. He seemed surprised at first, but then returned the favor.

Sam's POV

Toby called about five minutes ago, saying he wanted to stop by. He wouldn't say why, even when I asked him about being at Josh's. I saw him walking down the street and I put my jacket on and stood on the porch. "Hey!" I called to him. He seemed a little nervous when he said 'hey' back.
"There was something I wanted to ask you, Sam..."
"Yeah, what is it?"
"Do you think you would like to be more than just my friend?"
"You mean, like, your girlfriend?"
"Yeah That's what I mean!"
"Well, it's about time you asked!"
"Wha- I-I don't get it..."
"Nevermind, just come here!" I pulled him in, and we shared our first kisses...
