Chapter 13: Dreams

A/n: Soooooooo sorry for that 4 month wait, I've been really busy between doing the school play, school in general, my other story, and a lot of drama between my friend and I. I'm sorry that this isn't a really good chapter either, but I'm doing my best! Thank you all for your patience!

Sarah's POV

"Cmon, Sarah, I have something to show you!" I grabbed David's hand, and he led me to what he wanted me to see. He pulled off my blindfold, and stepped away so I could see. My jaw dropped. We were in the castle. There was a banner that said "Welcome Home, Sarah!!" written on it, and everyone was there. I looked over at David, he looked like the Goblin King again, the outfit, the hair, all of it.
"J-Jareth??"
"Welcome home, baby..." I ran into his arms and kissed him. When we pulled away, I laid my head on his chest. Tears were rolling down my face. "I missed you, I missed you all, so, so much. I'm sorry I didn't-" I felt a tug on my shirt.
"S-Sarah? Y-you- you're back!!" I looked down. It was Hoggle, and he was crying.
"Oh, Hoggle!" I got on my knees to hug him.
"Sawah back!" I stood up, and got buried in Ludo's arms.
"My lady! Has thou returned for good?" I looked around, I couldn't leave them again, but, Toby and Sam need me...
"I would love to, but Toby and Sam need me..."
"I thought you might say that..." Jareth looked like he was beckoning something/someone. Toby and Sam walked into the room, with linked arms.
"Sarah, we have decided to get married, and we want the wedding to be here. We can invite Jeremy, Josh, and Sam's family. We can start a new life here, Jareth already said it was okay, and there's pleanty of room for them to stay here permanently. I want our child to grow up here, our child is special, it deserves to grow up somewhere that's just as special."
"Speaking of marriage..." Jareth said, getting down on one knee. I covered my mouth with my hands. Toby's speech was already making my cry, now this. "Sarah, you knew about my love for you before we even met. When we did meet, you hated me for taking your baby brother. You went through a lot in those thirteen hours, I was foolish to go about the situation the way I did. How could I get the love from a girl, when I stole her brother, and threatened to turn him into a goblin? For sixteen years, nothing has been on my mind except you. When I had the idea to approach you as David, it was meant for us to get a new start, a second chance. After being David for so long, I knew I needed to tell you who I was, despite everything that was going on. I hope now that you believe I was telling the truth, and that we can really start that second chance. Sarah, will you marry me?" I was crying. This was huge, this would completely change not only my life, but a bunch of other people's lives. But they're all for he better, right? I know that this is what I really want, so why should I hesitate?
"Sarah? Sarah? Wake up! You must be having a bad dream, you're crying!" I started to wake up, pulling away from my dream. As my eyes were adjusting, the figure that woke me up became more and more clear.
"Toby?" I said groggily. "Whataya doing here, kid? You're supposed to be at Jar-" I paused for a second to correct myself. "David's." I said, confidently, hoping Toby didn't catch my slip up.

"I uh, left my computer charger here, but I heard you crying so... Are you okay?"

"Yeah, it was just a dream, nothing to worry about, they were happy tears anyway," I said with a smile.

"Oookkayy..." Toby said, sounding unconvinced. "Welp, I'm going back over, see you later, I guess." He grabbed his charger and walked out.

Meanwhile, I couldn't stop thinking about my dream, was it really just a dream? Or was it one of those special dreams that we get when we're upset? I got up, and went over to my dresser. There was a little box on top filled with phone numbers. I flipped through them until I found the one I was looking for, Dr. Wily, my therapist. For the first time in years, I think I need to see him for more than my usual six month visit...
