It was a stormy night, and the rain pounded on the rooftops of the sleeping families homes.  The house at the end of the street was lit up and the people inside were rushing around.  The woman of the house was about to give birth to her first child, but the doctor still hadn't arrived.

After a few minutes had passed, a man came knocking on the door. He came in and set down his bag and prepared his utincils to help deliver the child.  Not long after he began helping, the child was born.  A beautiful girl, so small and delicate, with a whole life ahead of her.

A grin broke out across the doctors face as he announced it to be a girl.  The grin didn't seem to fade, and as he glanced down at his bloody hands he began to chuckle.  It turned into a full laugh, and just then the lights went out, and everything went quiet except for the cries of the newborn.  Suddenly, a small light appeared, a small simple flame.  Everything fell quiet and then came a small laugh, and the word "Goodbye."

The next morning people awoke to the noise of others screaming and crying.  The house and it's inhabitants were reduced to ashes without anyone being awake to witness it.  The only thing remaining to prove their existance was one single picture laying amoung the ash.
