Your P.O.V

"Of course as you all know, the photo portrait has been popular since the early 1800's. Your generation was not the first to use images for selfie expression. Sorry. I couldn't resist."

I'm sitting in Mark's photography glass and he's talking about how selfies originated. I silently chuckled at his small joke. "Now who can tell me the name of the process that gave birth to the first self-portraits?" He asked and Victoria immediately raised up her hand. "Victoria i commend you for your active participation in answering my questions, but why don't we let others have a go?" He said and Victoria put down her hand and said "Of course Mr. Jefferson." Seems like she isn't giving up on the flirting thing.

"(Y/N)?" Mark said as he turned to me. Luckily for me i read through my textbook last night so i knew the answer. "The Daguerrian Process... Invented by a french painter named Louis Daguerre around 1830." When i told him the answer he smiled. "Very good." He said and carried on talking about the process. From the corner of my eye, i saw Victoria starring daggers at me but i couldn't care less about her. I've already warned her not to get close to me so I think I'm good.

RING!!!

Just then the bell rang. "Before i forget, i've received news on who the winner of the Everyday Heros' contest is." Mark said and everyone seemed eager to know. Victoria being the most. "It's (Y/N)." Well looks like i didn't win better luck next t-

Hang on. Did he just...
No. Way.

I looked up and everyone was clapping and i just sat at my seat awkwardly, blood rushing to ny cheeks. "Alright, class dismissed." Mark says and everyone leaves the room. I was still sitting in my seat, not believing what happened. I'm going to San Francisco. San. Fran. Cis. Co. Mark walked to my table and tapped it afew times waking me up. "Aren't you leaving?" He asks and sits on the table looking at me. "How did I...?" I say and Mark laughs. "Alot of convincing on my part aaaaaanddd the acceptance of Principal Wells." After 5 seconds of taking in what he just said I immediately stood up from my chair and bowed down to him repeatedly. "Thank you so much! You have no idea how much i'm grateful to you!"

He laughs. "I got it, I got it, stop that (Y/N)" and i stop and sling my back pack over ny shoulder. "I did it because out of everyone else who entered the competition, I knew you were the most passionate about photography. So don't let me down." He says and stretches out his hand. I shook it and thanked him profusely before leaving the classroom. I then lean against the row of lockers outside the classroom and sighed smiling. San Francisco... I wonder how's it gonna be?
