Chapter 27

Draco's POV

It was like the situation a few days ago. I struggled with myself for weeks about the decision I had to make. I had no idea. After potions I didn't walk to the Great Hall, instead I went to a lonely corner on the fifth floor. I sat down and for a few minutes I only closed my eyes and took deep breaths. I knew how high the stakes were. And I only had two ways to decide. Tell her my true feelings or end the whole friendship. There was no middle way anymore. 

Flashback

"You know, sometimes it's the nagels." a high voice suddenly said. Oh no, seriously? I opened my eyes, and already knew who will stand in front of me. As I opened my eyes I was told right immediately. Luna Lovegood stood there, looking down to me. I looked down the hall, but fortunately there were nobody else. "Oh god, Lovegood, go and annoy someone else with your stupid theories, please!" I answered. Not very friendly I know, but I hadn't have much nerves in the moment. I looked down again and hoped that she would go away. "It's not stupid! There is evidence!" she said. I sighted. "Merlin's beard, don't you see I'm not in the mood! Just go away! I'm not your problem!" Yeah, great Draco. Very grown-up. I felt that she sat down next to me. "I know, you don't want to talk about, but sometimes it really helps." I closed my eyes. "It's really nice of you. But I don't need you to solve my problems. You wouldn't understand it." was my answer. She looked at me. "Draco, I know it. You just have to say your last name and you can think about your problems. He's back and that makes you uncomfortable. And I know about your friendship with Hermione Granger. No, it's not a rumor, don't look so stressed. I can read body language, even if it is really hidden." I looked at her, really puzzled. When I opened my mouth, she lifted a finger. "No, wait. I can imagine your problem. The world is changing and you have to decide things. And I am only a random girl from your school, and you would never ask for my opinion. But I say to you one thing. Listen to your heart. You are really confused, but in the real case, do what makes you happy. And in case of an emergency: Hermione can save herself." She smiled one last time at me and then stood up and walked away. I stayed behind, even more confused then before. I thought about everything Luna told me. I had to admit that I enjoyed her speech. And she was right. I had to listen to my heart. I stood up. I had to plan something. 

Hermione's POV

I was shocked, I didn't expect that Draco would tell me all this. This was more I ever imagined. Then I realized what he just said. There was no future for our friendship? Yeah, but only if the friendship turns into a relationship! I didn't want to lose him! I didn't even think and just started. I will fight for him! "Draco", I started. "I'm in love with you!" Draco said at the same time. For a minute or so I looked at him. It was totally silent. In my head was a loud noise, I couldn't really realize what he just said. "You..." was all I could say. "I had to say it!", Draco said. "I'm in love with you since two years, since our kiss. You're my best friend and I'm in love with you. I can understand, if you don't feel the same way or want to end the friendship. Because of this I told you everything about my past and family. It's dangerous and -" That moment he had to stop talking for one simple reason. I kissed him. During his speech I stood up and flew into his arms and just kissed him. He was surprised, but then he hold me in his arms and kissed me back. With one hand he stroked my hair, the other one laid on my back. I climbed on his lap and kissed him more. I couldn't describe my happiness. Draco loved me! He had the same feelings I had! I felt that the kiss became more intense and it was okay. After a while I leaned back and looked at him. "I love you too, by the way!", I said and smiled. Draco laughed looked into my eyes. "So you want to be my... girlfriend?" he asked and looked a bit nervous. "I would understand if you didn't want to. It's dangerous and it will not be easy." He was serious now. Without second thoughts I nodded. "Yes, I love you, Draco! I know what could happen, but I don't care! I never imagined that you could love me back!" I smiled and hugged him and I put my nose into his hair, just to smell him. He laughed and kissed me again, this time it was a slow, feeling kiss. while kissing him I smiled. It was the best day of my life!
