Lillian and Eric

"Damnit" Eric cusses under his breath when the tv flashes off along with all the lights in the house.
"What happened?" I open my eyes from where I was half asleep on his lap.
"The storm baby the power went out it's okay though" He gives me a small smile and continues running his hand through my hair as he was before.
"Is it gonna be bad?" I sit up and he nods a little before pulling me back onto his lap and hugs my waist.
"It'll be fine beautiful just lay back down"
I rest my head on his chest when a huge clash of thunder and lightning rattles the house.
"Eric..."
"Shhh just focus on the rain. It sounds soothing doesn't it?"
"Yeah a little"
"Good just ignore everything else focus on the rain" He holds me to his chest and occasionally presses his lips to my head when I jump at thunder.
"Babe we're safe. I got you. Don't worry"
His hands run up my back, through my hair, then back down to my waist over and over again to calm me down.
"How was work my love?" He asks trying to get my mind off the storm.
"Good, a new girl started from New York or something she seems nice"
"Oh that's fun. Maybe you can have her over one day and we can have dinner"
"Yeah one day"
He continues random conversation, talking over the heavy rain and thunder what seems like every 2 seconds.
We didn't realize the time that had passed when the lights and tv flash back on informing us it's 3am.
"I think we need to get some sleep, we both have work early tomorrow" Eric says and picks me up after turning off the tv.
"I can walk" I giggle and he just pecks my cheek shaking his head amd carries me up to our bed.
"Goodnight beautiful"
"Night babe"
