Shadow P.O.V

I stood in front of my next heist location. Memories, good and bad, began to flood my memory. This is where I once worked with...her. I quickly push all of my thoughts aside and made my way inside of the giant tower. I climbed through the vents, which seemed to be an occurring thing in places like this.
"They really should put some kind of security system in here!" I grumbled to myself.
"Did you say something Shadow?" The Doctor's voice yelled in my earpiece.
"No." I simply respond.
"Good. Now then, the object you are looking for should be right below you."
I stop and look down an open vent. There, I see the object I was sent for, a powerful jewel. Nothing close to a chaos emerald, but very important.
Just before I begin to open the vent screen, I hear footsteps from inside.
"Damn." I silently say.

I walk around the armory. Giant weapons and many many gadgets and gizmos surrounded me. And for a slight second, I imagine Shadow, making some stupid, but totally true, comments about this room. Maybe something about how all of the nuclear reactors are to big, or how I'm not getting paid overtime.
I chuckle at the thought. Yeah, he would definitely be complaining about the pay.
Suddenly, I hear a loud and unsettling CREEK coming from the ceiling. I stop in my tracks as I hear a loud thud from behind. Footsteps then began to summon, they continued to get louder and louder until they suddenly stop.
Knowing he was right behind me, I quickly grabbed his hand and flung him over my body. I maybe small, but I've got a hard hit. As he begins to recover from the fall, I back up and ready myself for a nasty fight. But then, I saw his face.

Shadow P.O.V

I huff breathlessly. "Man! You sure do pack a mean punch!" I say, trying to be slightly funny.
Finally, after catching my breath, I look up to see her face. Relief fills my body, but, I don't know why. She stares at me with her bright blue eyes. They shimmer in the dim light, something about them just seemed so, familiar.

Rouge P.O.V

My mind had to be playing tricks on me! It's the only other explanation for this madness! Maybe I'm just going crazy! But, his eyes. I know those eyes, following me. Dark and familiar and deep as the sea. I know that face, though it seems, kinder. I shook my head in denial.
"Who are you?" I finally ask, shaking a bit.
He stares at me, his pupils were dull, but at the same time, bright. Does that make any sense?
