Shadow P.O.V

I'm sleeping on the couch. Suddenly, I feel a shift in the air. It doesn't feel right. But I ignore it anyway. That was the biggest mistake of my life. When morning comes, I get up to the smell of smoke. When I open my eyes I see that the house is on FIRE!!!! What the heck?? Rouge! I get up and run into her room. "Rouge!" I yell. "Shadow! In here!" A call comes from her bathroom. I quickly run over to see that she's trapped under debris from the house. Still in her pajamas. Her face is covered in ash and cinder. Fear consumed her eyes whole.

Rouge P.O.V

I stare at Shadow terrified. "I'm stuck!" I say in terror. "Calm down. You're gonna be fine." He reassured me. I trust him. We both are coughing uncontrollably. He's certainly going to survive. He's the ultimate life form and he can't die. Me on the other hand, I'm just a regular mobian with no special abilities. He starts to try and pull the wood pillars off of me. "Dang!" He says struggling. "Leave me!" I say with tears in my eyes. "What?" He asks breathless. He stars at me with shock. "LEAVE! Save yourself! There's no hope for me. *cough*" It's impossible to breathe in this air. "Go." I say. He is still looking at me like I'm crazy.".......please Shadow, I can't loose you again." I can't take it anymore.

Shadow P.O.V

She's insane! I can't leave her like this. I try even harder to lift the debris. This time it finally moves. "Rouge! Move it! Get out!" I yell. When I look at her, she looks lifeless. Suddenly, someone calls out her name. "We're in here!" I yell with all my might. They speed into the room. It's Sonic. "Shadow? What are you-" "SAVE HER FIRST, ASK QUESTIONS LATER!!" I yell at the dumb faker. He grabs Rouge and we run out the burning house. As we are running, the house starts coming down. We jump out the door. Whoever did this, they are gonna pay.
