♡Hanah's POV♡
I sat in silence. Somewhere. It was dark. My mind was buzzing and I was crying. I finished off one of the beer cans that I grabbed, two more to go.
The fireworks go off in the distance, and the sound of people cheering caused my ears to ring.
I scoot back till I hit a tree and my back relaxes on it. I put my head on the bark and close my eyes. My mind swirls and spins until I cause myself an inner headache.
I fled the scene of people partying and counting down and kissing to be alone in my own small world of madness. If a white rabbit came out, I'd surely follow it down a hole.
I opened another can and took a sip of the beer, I don't even know what it is. My hearts starts to relax as the numbing takes over. My tears stop and dry on my face. I feel my phone buzzing but I'm way too frozen to answer it.
As I said, sitting here in my lonely madness.
The fireworks started to sound further away, the owls were heard, loudly. But I was left in silence, and a buzzing sound that ran through one ear and out the other.
Sirens start to appear, and they seem to be coming closer and closer. The sound got louder and louder as it pierced my ears. I dropped the can, not caring if it spilled on the ground and clutched my hands over my ears, tightly. The sirens were causing my ears to ring and my head to pound against my skull.
"Fuck!" I shouted. "Fucking hurts."
My phone buzzed again, this time with a call. I still didn't answer. The buzzing noise became repeated over and over again until I couldn't take it anymore and turned it off. I shut down my phone and tossed it besides me.
My eyes begin to get heavier and heavier. I'll take a nap. Just five minutes. And I was out like a light.
♣️️Ryan's POV♣️️
I pushed her away from me.
"What the fuck?" I shouted, over the fireworks.
"I'm claiming what's mine," she shrugged.
"I'm not yours though." I moved a finger between us. "We are not a thing anymore."
"Are you saying that you fell out of love with me? After ten pathetic years of fawning over me, you decided to stop?" Her words were bitter and sharp.
"Yes. I've stopped loving you," I stated.
"Who's the girl I lost to. Is it that little girlfriend of yours?" She smirked.
"Her name's Hanah and if you hurt her in any way.."
"What?" She interrupted me. "What are you going to do to me?"
"You don't want to know," I snapped back. "But I promise you it's bad."
I leave her there as I walked off to find Hanah. I pull out my phone and call her, it rings till her voicemail. My head looks up to see people through the crowd.
Where can she be?
I call her again. And again. Again. No reply.
Hanah...
I find Alex and Kristina off to a secluded corner by themselves. In a hurried rush to find my girlfriend, I cockblock them and questioned.
Drunken Kristina shrugs while a sober Alex gives a straight answer. I leave the two of them, trusting Alex won't take advantage of Kristina.
