Thirty Two

Blake was silent.

Hearing her voice, so hurt and vulnerable.

He could feel his heart breaking.

He knew she lied, but he couldn't help himself wonder what her reason was.

"I--okay."

She looked up and their eyes met.

He couldn't help but look away.

Too painful.

"I'm so sorry Blake, I really am."

"I didn't know what I was doing until it was too late. I--"

"Why did you do it?"

"..."

"Why did you play me?"

"I didn't, gosh. I would never play you."

"Then why?"

"I just moved here to finish my senior year of  high school. At first I didn't really think it was nessecary for me to move, but my mom insist. So I live with my aunt, and I work for her."

"I was just walking around trying to get to know places and shops, but then I saw you."

"You were with your friends back then, you didn't see me then but it was okay,

"I didn't know why I keep coming back to the park, but all I knew was that I saw this cute dude skateboarding and I loved watching him fall on his butt."

"On the fifth day, I guess, you finally saw me, and suddenly I saw you come up to me and I freaked out."

"This cute brown haired dude just walked so confidently and asked for my number, but he was stupid enough to not ask for my name."

"I didn't realize what I was doing until I figure out that it wasn't my number that I gave you, it was the hotline number."

"When did you plan to tell me?"

"That--I don't know"

"Why?"

"You knew you lied! You should've told me!"

"But what? Don't you think that I deserve to know this? What's your reason now, huh? I bet you--"

"I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU!"

"I knew this would happen, I knew you'd react this way.'

"But that doesn't mean that you can keep me in the dark!"

"Don't you think I know that? This lie has been eating me up, okay!?"
