I still can't see. The darkness surrounds me like a cloak.
"Pierre?!" I scream.
Suddenly i feel to hands wrap around my own. I scream, but stop when I hear pierre's voice.
"Lily. It's okay. We're going to be okay." He whispers.
"What's happening?" I whisper back.
It takes him a while to answer. "I don't know."
I hear the faint crackling of the train speaker.
"Attention, passengers. Due to a...slight railway malfunction, there will be a delay. I urge you to stay calm and relax."
Everyone panics.
I look at Pierre. "what do they mean, railway malfunction?"
He doesn't have to answer when I feel the bridge shake. I look out the dust covered train window and see, too my horror, the railway splitting into two just ahead of us.
