Chapter 2

Brennan's POV
I took Annie into my room, and laid Hayley down on the couch it was 10:00 at night so Katie wouldn't be up, and I didn't want to wake her to go to the basement.

"Are you okay sleeping on the floor. I can make Ryan leave and you can have his bed?" I ask leading her into my room. "No. I'll be fine." She whimpered. "Annie. Caleb is going to be fine!" I put my arm around her. Ryan starts to wake up. "Annie, what are you doing in here?" Ryan whisper shouts. "Something was wrong with Caleb and her parents made her and Hayley stay over here. It's okay Ryan mom knows she's in here Hayleys in the living room of you want to go check on her."I say.

"Do I need to leave?" Annie whispered. She had tears running down her cheeks. "No way. Your not going anywhere." I wipe her tears away and she grabs my hand. "I'm scared Brennan. I don't want to loose him." She's shaking. Ryan goes and gets Katie.

Annie's POV
"Annie everything is going to be okay!" Katie runs to me and hugs me. "We can all go sleep in the basement if you'd like." Katie helps me up. "I don't have pjs I came over here in a rush." I whispered to Katie. I guess Brennan overheard me I turned around to him holding his sweatpants and a water polo shirt. "Here." He said smirking. His smirks were so cute. "Thank you" I went and changed and headed downstairs. The way his shirt smelled like him calmed me down.

We laid our blankets on the floor. Ryan and Hayley stayed in his room and Katie and Brennan laid next to me. Katie went right back to sleep. I rolled over away from Brennan and felt a tear roll down my face. I guess he saw me. I felt his hand wipe it away. I rolled over towards him.

"Come on" he stood up and reached for my hand. "Where to?" I asked. He lead me to his roof overlooking the river. The moonlight was hitting the water perfectly. Brennan looked into my eyes with his big brown beautiful eyes. I saw in his eyes sadness. "I'm scared too Annie. This has never happened to me. I don't want to loose my best friend."

I saw tears rolling down his face. I wiped them away. He grabbed my hand when I was pulling them away from his face. He placed my hand on his face. I looked into his big eyes and with no hesitation leaned in for a kiss. Brennan knew what I was doing he wrapped his arms around my body and kissed me. I felt so many emotions. He was a brother to me, but he was more than a brother to me. We pulled away. "Wow" I whispered. He was my first kiss. And I hope I was his.
