Brennan's POV
I want to make everything up for what liv did to Annie. I feel so bad. I just want Annie to trust me again.
I start to make my way to the store to prepare for our special day. I'm going to make Annie's favorite lunch. Then we will go on a boat ride. And we will be okay right?
I start to open the door when I hear a sniffle. I look over and see liv crying.
No. No Brennan. You love Annie. You want Annie. You want to help liv.
I don't want to be doing this but I have to. It's not me to leave a girl crying.
"Liv. Are you okay?" I keep my distance from her but still show her sympathy. "Oh Bren." She stands up and hugs me.
Did she call me Bren. No one calls me that. Somethings up.
"I'm so lost without you." She whispers into my ear. "I can't live without you anymore." She cries harder.
"Come on. Let's go talk." I lead her to the nearest bench. Annie comes first Brennan. Annie not liv.
She places her hand on my thigh. I feel tingly there.
"Do you not remember what we used to be?" She asks. "We were the cutest couple ever. Do you remember our dates when we were little." I nod.
"You would take me to your dock and we would stay there all day. Then we would go get ice cream. I would eat yours and you would eat mine. We were perfect Bren. Then. Then Annie came along and took you from me. She ruined everything. I felt lost Brennan. I can't go on without you. You were my everything. You still are my everything."
She rolled up her sleeves and cried harder. I saw them. All of them. All of the pain I put her through. She cut herself. Because of me. Because of Annie. Annie. Annie did this to her. But I love Annie. But I love liv.
"Liv. You never lost me. I just needed to help Annie, but it looks like I need to help you now."
There was a gap between us that even a sheet of paper couldn't squeeze through. I closed the gap. I slammed my lips onto hers. It was liv. I wanted liv all along. She kissed me back. Harder. Stronger.
"Liv. Liv. I want you." I whispered.
"You you do?" I heard a small voice behind me. It was Annie.
My Annie. I broke her.
